Yesterday’s Darts Results: Mat Caste Hits 115.62 as 81 Tournaments Join Q4QS – 27 September 2026

Sunday produced one of the biggest Q4QS result days of the week, with 81 tournaments added to the database and some outstanding numbers from around the country.

The headline performance belonged to Mat Caste, who hit a huge 115.62 on his way to winning at the Carlton House Club in Olney. Curtis Hammond wasn't far behind with 111.33 in Ipswich, while Elliott Neary, Andrew Cook, Andy Steed and Stuart Bennett all reached 103.66.

There was plenty closer to home as well. Plymouth produced two of the day's 103.66 averages, Paul Gardiner won again in Taunton and the Junior Volts programme supplied a huge number of results across the country.

Caste combines 115.62 with the title

The biggest individual performance came at the Carlton House Club in Olney, where Mat Caste averaged 115.62 in a 2–0 victory over Bill McCloud.

It wasn't simply one big match either. Caste also recorded 98.02 and eventually won the tournament, beating Dean Taylor 3–1 in the final.

He finished the day with eight victories and, for me, that's one of Sunday's clearest standout performances: the highest average anywhere in the Q4QS results and the tournament win to go with it.

Hammond hits 111.33 in Ipswich

There was another huge performance at the Gardeners Arms in Ipswich.

Curtis Hammond hit 111.33 against Kai Garwood and went on to beat Arthur Allston 3–2 in the final.

Allston had an impressive day himself, recording 102.00, 100.20 and 98.93, but Hammond took the title with eight victories.

That's a very strong tournament at the top end, rather than simply a single eye-catching average.

Plymouth produces two 103.66 averages

One of my favourite results of the day came from Legends Lounge in Plymouth.

Andrew Cook and Andy Steed both hit 103.66, Danny Bull reached 96.97, and Mark Gilbery recorded 91.09 twice.

Despite all those numbers, it was Danny Bull who came through to win the tournament, beating Gilbery 3–0 in the final.

Bull and Gilbery both finished with seven wins, with Steed on six. That's a good illustration of the strength we're beginning to see regularly at some of the South West Vault venues.

Paul Gardiner wins again in Taunton

At the Queens Arms in Taunton, Paul Gardiner took the title with a 3–1 victory over Ashley Howe.

Gardiner's best performance actually came in the final, where he averaged 84.18, and he also recorded a 75.07 during the event.

Nigel Hodges hit 83.50 and Lauren Collins 75.15 on another competitive Sunday at the venue.

Wales provides another ton-plus performance

Wales continues to add plenty to these daily reports.

Louis Melville hit 100.20 at the Mile End Inn in Swansea, although the tournament itself went to Jonny Carr, who beat Josh Richards 3–1 in the final.

There was also a 100.20 from Dafydd Roach in the Clwb Emrys Draig Under-66 Finals Day. Roach went on to win that tournament as well, beating Mark Burton 3–2 and finishing with seven victories.

Elsewhere in Wales, Kevin Mills won in Blaenavon with a 92.02 along the way, Timothy Jones took the Briton Ferry Vault and Rhodri Phillips won in Llandysul.

Stuart Bennett joins the 103.66 club

The New Croft in Haverhill produced another performance worth highlighting.

Stuart Bennett averaged 103.66 against Harry Donno, added a 92.90 later in the tournament and then took the title with a 3–1 final victory over Gary Butcher.

Charlie Gambin also broke the ton barrier with 100.20, while Butcher reached 93.94.

Bennett finished with seven wins, making this another case where the big average was backed up by the tournament result.

Elliott Neary hits 103.66

At Ellistown Working Mens Club, Elliott Neary recorded 103.66 and later added an 88.41.

The tournament went to Macy Gibbons, who beat Jack Beasley 3–1 in the final and finished with eight wins.

Leon Baumber also impressed with 92.17 as another Vault produced plenty of depth beyond the eventual winner.

Mike Gillet dominates in Eastleigh

One of the more complete performances came from Mike Gillet at Eastleigh WMC.

Gillet won the tournament with eight victories, beating Jack Seymour 3–0 in the final with a 98.02 average.

His other leading figures included 91.09, two 88.41s and 85.89.

It may not quite have the headline number of Caste or Hammond, but that is a very strong sequence across an entire event.

Another huge Junior Volts day

Sunday was particularly busy for the JDC Junior Volts series, with events staged across the country.

One of the South West winners was Joseph Lauridsen at The Kings Pub in Exeter, beating Aaron Rea 3–0 in the final. Lauridsen hit 83.50 during the event, matching Oliver Hutchings for the best average.

There were also titles for players including Hector Bowers, Jackson Osborne, Reggie Bellott, Alfie Osman, Jack Turner, Freddie Skone, Arjun Sharma, Tyler Shuck and Josh Lloyd.

At The Big Fish in Leigh-on-Sea, Will Fisher produced one of the strongest junior performances of the day, winning the tournament and recording an 86.71.

WADC: four Sunday tournaments

There were four WADC Vault 3.0 tournaments in Sunday's results, so they certainly deserve their own section.

At Highways Sports & Social Club in Colchester, Sophie Shepherd beat Catherine Haley 3–1 in the final.

At Penybanc RFC in Ammanford, Rhian Osullivan beat Alannah Waters-Evans 3–1. Osullivan also recorded an excellent 81.98, although the source data for this event appears to contain some mixed match rows, so I'd be cautious about drawing too much from the wider event statistics.

Bridget McGuire won at the Phoenix Club in Waterlooville, beating Rosie Robinson 3–2 and finishing with five victories. McGuire also produced the three highest listed averages among the women's results there.

Finally, Elizabeth Moss won at The Station in Bognor Regis, beating Susan Ramsay 3–1 and finishing with seven victories.

Four WADC events in a single day's export is another useful addition to the growing women's database.

Five performances that caught my eye

Elliott Neary also hit 103.66, Tony Chapman reached 102.48, Arthur Allston 102.00, while Dafydd Roach and Charlie Collins both recorded 100.20.

81 tournaments in one day

The scale of Sunday's results is probably the biggest story of all.

81 tournaments means hundreds of players and thousands of individual match results feeding into Q4QS.

There were Vaults, Junior Volts, WADC events, restricted-average competitions, junior tournaments, local opens and league competitions covering a huge geographical spread.

And that's increasingly what I want Yesterday's Results to show.

The winner matters, but so does the player who hits 103 and doesn't win. So does the junior putting together a run of 80-plus averages, the player improving at a regular venue, and the strength of a tournament several rounds before the final.

The bigger the database gets, the more of those stories Q4QS can find.

Yesterday’s Darts Results: Astbury Hits 111.33 as Archie Self Wins Challenge Tour – 26 September 2026

Another 38 tournaments have been added to the Q4QS database from Saturday, and there was plenty of variety in this set of results.

Daniel Astbury produced the biggest average of the day with a huge 111.33, Archie Self and Joe Hunt shared the two PDC Challenge Tour titles, and there was a particularly busy day of junior darts.

Closer to home, Hangar 61 staged both its Open Round Robin and a Sub 55 High Stakes Round Robin, while Wales produced several strong performances and there were also two WADC tournaments.

Astbury hits the biggest average of the day

The standout individual number came at the Inn On The Green in Shrewsbury.

Daniel Astbury averaged 111.33 in a 2–0 victory over Ash Coates and also produced a 93.94 later in the tournament.

The title, though, went to Jake B-Smith, who beat Kyle Jones 3–1 in the final. B-Smith finished with eight wins and also recorded a 91.09 average.

It's another example of why these daily reports are about more than simply listing the tournament winners.

Archie Self takes Challenge Tour 21

Archie Self put together an excellent run to win PDC Challenge Tour 21.

Self beat Tommy Morris 5–1 in the final, averaging 104.49, and finished the event with eight victories.

The highest average belonged to Michele Turetta at 105.85, with Martijn Dragt hitting 104.38, Morris 104.26 and Joe Hunt 101.55.

Those are serious numbers throughout the event.

Hunt follows up by winning Event 22

Joe Hunt then went one better in Challenge Tour 22, beating Callum Francis 5–3 in the final.

John Henderson led the averages with 103.98, while Tommy Morris continued an impressive scoring day with 102.95.

Across the two Challenge Tour events, Saturday produced a substantial collection of 100-plus performances.

Hangar 61: Allen takes the Open Round Robin

There was another busy Saturday at Hangar 61, with the main Open Round Robin producing 79 recorded matches.

Chris Allen took the title, beating Lewis Kendall 4–3 in the final and finishing with eight victories.

The biggest average of the tournament belonged to Joe Bagguley, who hit 88.41, with Darren Davies reaching 87.13. Allen's best listed performance was 85.89.

Ricky Palmer and Warren Ryan both recorded six wins, while Kendall and Bagguley finished with five apiece.

It's another useful result for the Q4QS database because Hangar 61 is one of the venues where the growing volume of results is starting to give us a much clearer picture of the regular players and the standard required to win there.

High Stakes Under 55 at Hangar 61

There was a second competition at Hangar 61 with the Sub 55 High Stakes Round Robin.

Russ Scott beat James Edwards 4–3 in the final, with both players recording six victories across the tournament.

Edwards produced comfortably the biggest average of the competition at 81.98, while Scott's highest listed figure was 66.80.

For an event restricted by playing level, an 81.98 is a particularly interesting number – and another reminder that an Under 55 event doesn't mean everyone in the room is going to average under 55 in every match.

Bobby Short breaks 100 in Llanelli

Wales supplied another of Saturday's biggest performances.

At the Terry Griffiths Matchroom in Llanelli, Bobby Short averaged 103.66 in a 2–0 victory over Ben Pumford and later added a 90.18.

The tournament was eventually won by Chris Bryant-Evans, who beat Louis Melville 3–1 in the final.

Bryant-Evans and Melville both recorded seven victories.

Henry Povey wins in Salisbury

One of the best stories from Saturday came from the junior game.

Henry Povey won the Salisbury Junior Super Series 4, beating Baileigh Stace 5–1 in the final and finishing with eight victories.

Povey produced averages of 84.40 and 83.50, while Mason Beaven recorded the tournament's best figure with an excellent 90.18.

Beaven and Stace both finished with seven wins.

Jack Johnson puts together an impressive sequence

There was more strong youth darts at the Mission Youth Open.

Jack Johnson won the 14 & Under Event 1, beating Archie Wright 4–1 in the final.

What particularly stands out is Johnson's consistency. His four leading listed averages were:

91.57, 90.83, 90.18 and 89.96.

Addison Hefferon produced the tournament's highest individual figure at 96.10, but Johnson put together the sustained run and finished with seven victories.

A busy Saturday for junior darts

The junior results didn't end there.

Rico Anderson won the JDC Wales Plate Tournament, beating Jaiden Jewell 3–0 in the final and averaging 80.52.

There were also Junior Volts titles for Prem Ahluwalia, Zain Edwards, Logan Smith, Harvey-Lee Nelson-Harris, Alex Gale and Theo Galea.

Nathan Ward-Wilkinson's 88.41 at Clacton was one of the strongest Junior Volts numbers of the day.

Wales produces plenty of stories

Away from the junior game, there was plenty happening across Wales.

Stephen Cake won the Aberfan Open, beating Joshua Brogden 6–1 in the final. Mike Huntley produced the event's best average at 98.36, with Marshall James reaching 96.57.

Finley Bennett took the Vault in Bargoed, while the 103.66 from Bobby Short in Llanelli was one of the highest grassroots averages anywhere in Saturday's results.

Bringing Wales further into these roundups is already adding some good performances and different names to the daily picture.

WADC: Fairbrother and Sayers take the titles

There were two WADC Vault events on Saturday.

At The Nags Head Inn in Cinderford, Vicky Fairbrother beat Dannie Hughes 3–1 in the final and finished with six victories.

Fairbrother also occupied the first four positions in the event's list of highest averages, headed by 56.11.

At The Glebe in Stevenage, Debbie Sayers beat Michelle Bull 3–2 to take the other WADC title.

I'll continue including the WADC results whenever events have been played. They are part of the same grassroots picture that Q4QS is trying to build.

Five performances that caught my eye

There were plenty of alternatives. Martijn Dragt hit 104.38, Tommy Morris reached 104.26 and 102.95, John Henderson recorded 103.98 and Jack Johnson put together that excellent sequence around the 90 mark in the Mission Youth Open.

Another 38 tournaments added to Q4QS

Saturday's 38 tournaments might be fewer than some of the big midweek nights, but there was arguably more variety.

There was PDC Challenge Tour darts, WADC, JDC and junior competition, Welsh events, regular Vaults, open tournaments and two different competitions at Hangar 61.

That's what makes collecting all these results worthwhile.

The headline averages are interesting today, but over time the results build the player records, rankings, venue histories, form and head-to-head data that allow Q4QS to look much deeper than a single night's results.

Yesterday's Results – Friday 25 September 2026

Friday brought another 48 tournaments into the Q4QS database, with action stretching across England and Wales and another varied mix of Vaults, limited-average events, junior darts and women's competition.

The biggest average of the day came from Adam Beck, who hit a huge 111.33, while Paul Jones and Harley Glycos both went beyond 107.

There were also some interesting stories closer to the traditional Q4QS heartland, with Paul Gardiner winning in Taunton, Dale Mills in Yeovil, Freddie Harper at Portishead and Pete Hughes coming through a strong Bengeworth tournament.

Beck produces the biggest number of the day

The highest recorded average across Friday's results belonged to Adam Beck, who fired a 111.33 at The Black Swan in Melton Mowbray.

Beck's tournament eventually ended against Scott Boryszczuk, while James Young went on to take the title after beating Darren Tyler 3–2 in the final.

It is another good example of why these daily reports need to look beyond the tournament winners. Sometimes the performance that jumps off the page comes from someone who doesn't ultimately lift the trophy.

Paul Jones hits 107.36 at Bengeworth

There were more big numbers at The Bengeworth in Evesham.

Paul Jones averaged 107.36 in a 2–0 victory over Jason Reeve, while Danny Lauby hit 100.20 and Darrel Williams reached 93.94.

But the tournament belonged to Pete Hughes.

Hughes came through to beat Lauby 3–2 in the final and finished with seven victories. Darrel Williams, Lauby and Reece Pinches all recorded six wins, underlining the depth of the tournament.

Glycos hits 107 as Garrett takes the title

Wales also supplied one of Friday's biggest performances.

At the Thatchers Fusion Sub80 Series, Harley Glycos averaged 107.05, making it the third-highest individual average across all 48 tournaments.

Tyler Garrett also broke the ton with 100.20 and went on to win the event, beating Rico Anderson 5–4 in the final.

Garrett finished with nine victories, making this one of the strongest all-round performances of Friday's results.

Gardiner wins in Taunton

At Pegasus 68 Club in Taunton, Paul Gardiner came through a competitive field to take the title.

Gardiner beat Steve Boundy 3–2 in the final and finished with eight victories, while Boundy actually led the win count with nine.

Richard Frost produced the highest average of the tournament at 93.94, with Gardiner reaching 91.09.

Another good example of the difference between producing the night's biggest individual number and putting together the run required to win the whole tournament.

Mills wins in Yeovil

Dale Mills took the rearranged Vault at Bullets Sports Bar in Yeovil, beating Robbie Roy 3–2 in the final.

Mills recorded eight wins across the event.

The leading averages came from Zac Rendell and Robbie Roy, who both reached 91.09, while Roy also produced an 83.50.

Mills might not have topped the average table, but he was the player still standing at the end.

Harper takes the Portishead Friday Open

At Portishead Workmens Darts, Freddie Harper won the Friday Open after beating Max Maggs 3–2 in the final.

Harper, Chris Clark and Logun Godbeer all finished with seven victories.

Clark produced the highest average at 88.41, while Harper's best was 81.24 and Godbeer reached 77.08.

It was another substantial Friday night competition, with 49 matches recorded.

Ryan Davies dominates at Wattsville

There was another Welsh performance worth highlighting at Wattsville National Club.

Ryan Davies didn't simply win the tournament – he also dominated its leading averages.

Davies hit 100.20, followed by 92.02, 91.09 and 88.41, before beating Xavier Jones 3–2 in the final.

Seven wins and four of the five highest listed averages makes that one of Friday's more complete tournament performances.

WADC: Watson and Hughes take Friday titles

There were two WADC Vault events among Friday's results.

At Briton Ferry Workies, Eve Watson beat Rhian Osullivan 3–2 to take the title. Watson recorded six victories and produced the event's two highest averages, 84.66 and 81.37.

At the United Services Club in Harwich, Shaunna Hughes won the second WADC Vault, beating Amy Attridge 3–0 in the final. Hughes finished with four victories, while Attridge produced the tournament's highest listed average of 48.48.

I want the WADC results to remain part of these daily roundups whenever events have been played rather than women's darts disappearing among the much larger number of open tournaments.

Plenty more around the South

There were strong results across the wider southern area too.

Stuart Dutton averaged 100.20 at Danny's Bar in Banbury, although Luke Peacock ultimately took the title. Kevin Dean also hit 100.20 at Woodbridge Hill Working Men's Club in Guildford, where Callum Grealis emerged as champion.

Roger Crook produced a 95.94 and went on to win at GWRSA Club in Didcot, while Sean Lowndes hit 96.97 at Walderslade Club in Chatham, where Ross Lowe took the title.

There was plenty happening in Wales too, including victories for Richie Limbert in Swansea, Liam Forward in Cardiff and Lucas H Davies at Briton Ferry.

Five performances that caught my eye

1. Adam Beck – 111.33 — Melton Mowbray
2. Paul Jones – 107.36 — Evesham
3. Harley Glycos – 107.05 — Newport
4. Ryan Davies – 100.20 — Wattsville
5. Danny Lauby – 100.20 — Evesham

Sean Holley, Reggie Woollard, Tyler Garrett and Stuart Dutton also reached 100.20 on a day when nine of the ten highest listed performances were at or above the ton.

Another 48 tournaments added to Q4QS

That's another 48 tournaments feeding into Q4QS.

The daily winners and big averages make the headlines, but every one of these competitions adds more information to the rankings, player records, venue histories, form and head-to-head data.

And as the coverage expands further across southern England and Wales, these daily reports should increasingly give us a picture not just of who is winning locally, but of where the strongest grassroots performances are happening across a much wider area.

Yesterday's Results – Thursday 24 September 2026

Thursday is always a busy night for grassroots darts, and another 58 tournaments have now been added to the Q4QS database.

This time I've widened the net a little. The South West will always be an important part of Q4QS, but with results coming in from across southern England and Wales, there are too many good performances elsewhere to ignore.

And Thursday produced two particularly eye-catching numbers.

Two players hit 115.62

The highest recorded averages of the night were shared by Andy Smith at Cressex Social Club in High Wycombe and Paul Higgins at the Junction Inn in Hengoed.

Smith's 115.62 came in a 2–0 win over Paul Tubb, and it wasn't his only big performance. He later averaged 100.20 against Stuart Dutton before going on to win the tournament, beating Andrew Bowler 3–0 in the final.

Smith finished with eight wins from the night.

Over in Wales, Higgins matched that 115.62 at Hengoed with a 2–0 win over Keri Dacey.

The title there eventually went to Stephen Cake, who beat Ryan Davies 3–1 in the final and finished with eight wins. Cake also produced averages of 96.97 and 93.94 during the tournament.

Wales produces another 107.36

There was another big Welsh performance at Brynmawr Social Club, where Bryan Flew averaged 107.36.

Flew also recorded a 90.44 later in the tournament, although the title went to Gethyn Bennett, who beat Dylan Ruck-Havard 3–0 in the final and collected eight wins.

It's exactly the sort of result I want to start bringing into these roundups more often as Q4QS coverage grows.

Ashton Brown impresses at Hangar 61

Closer to home, Ashton Brown produced an excellent night at Hangar 61.

Brown won the Thursday night round robin, beating Jamie Shovelton 3–0 in the final, and recorded eight victories.

The numbers were impressive too. Brown's best was 103.15, and he also produced 96.72, 95.23 and 92.02.

John Brown added a 98.02, making it another strong night at Hangar 61.

Steed makes it two wins in two nights

Andy Steed's week continues to get more interesting.

After producing a 96.14 in Tiverton on Tuesday and winning in Barnstaple on Wednesday, Steed was back on top again on Thursday at Cue Sports Bar in Torquay.

He beat George Butcher 3–1 in the final and recorded a best average of 93.94.

That's now two tournament victories on consecutive nights at two different Devon venues, alongside several 90-plus averages. Definitely one to keep watching.

Maisey wins at Worcester as Hughes hits 107

Barry Maisey took the title at The Cue Corner in Worcester, beating Stewart Wilde 3–1 in the final.

Maisey saved one of his best performances for the final, averaging 99.20, while Wilde recorded 94.34.

The biggest number at the venue, though, belonged to Pete Hughes, who hit 107.36.

Maisey finished with seven victories, with Callum Weaver and Wilde both on six.

Jamie Kay wins again

Jamie Kay also made it consecutive winning nights.

After taking Wednesday's event at Bodmin Band & Social Club, Kay won again on Thursday at St Breward AFC & Social Club.

He beat Joseph Juleff 3–0 in the final, averaging 90.18, while his best performance of the night was 91.09.

Kay finished with six wins.

Plenty happening across the South

There were strong performances much further across southern England too.

Ryan Mitchell hit 107.36 at Farnborough, although Archie Self went on to win the tournament with eight victories.

Mat Caste averaged 104.86 at Bletchley and then won the event, while Jason Collins produced a 102.48 in the final at Locks Heath, Southampton, beating Jarred Cole 3–0.

Jack Johnson combined a 103.66 with the title at Tunbridge Wells, Ricky King won at Poole, Ross Lowe took the Dover event and David Moule won in Andover.

That's the sort of geographical spread I want Yesterday's Results to reflect increasingly as Q4QS grows.

Wales deserves a mention

There was plenty more happening in Wales beyond the 115.62 from Higgins and 107.36 from Flew.

Kacey Jones won at Welshpool and averaged 93.94, Gavin Sterio won at Maesteg with a 93.94 of his own, Chris James took the Llanelli event after reaching 91.02, and Louis Melville won at Glynneath, where Ellis Williams recorded 93.94.

There was junior success too, with Dylan Person winning the Junior Volts event at Cogan Coronation in Penarth.

Five performances that caught my eye

Another 58 tournaments added to Q4QS

That's another 58 tournaments added to the database.

The individual results give us plenty to talk about, but it's the accumulation of all this data that interests me most.

Every night adds more to the player records, rankings, venue histories, averages, head-to-heads and form. We're also now starting to see players appearing in these roundups on consecutive nights – Andy Steed and Jamie Kay being two obvious examples this week.

The wider the coverage becomes, the more interesting those comparisons should become.

Tuesday was another huge night of grassroots darts, with 71 tournaments added to the Q4QS database.

There were events taking place across the country, but as usual I've concentrated this roundup on the South and South West, picking out some of the winners, performances and numbers that caught my eye.

And there was plenty to choose from.

Bagguley takes the honours in Gloucester

Joe Bagguley was the winner at the Vault 19 event at Widden Rugby Club in Gloucester, beating Cody Kibble 3–0 in the final.

Bagguley won eight matches across the night and also produced the highest average recorded at the venue, a 90.18. Cody Kibble finished with six wins, while Ryan Palmer also collected six and reached an 83.50 average.

It was a strong night's work from Bagguley and another Gloucester result to add to the growing Q4QS database.

Cleave wins in Tiverton – but Steed and Howard produce the big numbers

At Elmore Football Club in Tiverton, Finlay Cleave came through to take the title, defeating Dave Fisher 3–0 in the final.

The eye-catching numbers, though, arrived elsewhere in the tournament.

Andy Steed averaged 96.14, while Junior Howard hit 94.60 in their meeting. Howard won that match 2–1. Cleave's best recorded average was 88.53 on his way to the title.

That makes Tiverton one of the more interesting events from Tuesday's results – a tournament where the eventual winner was not necessarily responsible for the night's biggest statistical performance.

Godbeer wins at Portishead

There was another local winner at Portishead Workmens Darts, where Logun Godbeer won the Tuesday Open.

Godbeer beat Jacob Huxtable 3–1 in the final and finished the tournament with eight wins. His best recorded average was 72.12, while Josh Rose produced the highest figure of the tournament at 75.43.

Jones comes through a strong Evesham night

Bretforton Sports Club produced one of Tuesday's more interesting sets of numbers.

Paul Jones eventually won the Vault 19 event, beating Joe Quiney 3–1 in the final and recording eight victories during the tournament.

Quiney, however, produced the biggest average of the night there with 96.97, and also recorded 88.41 and 85.89 performances.

There was quality elsewhere too, with Danny Lauby averaging 91.09 and 88.41 during the tournament.

For me, Bretforton was one of the standout venues from Tuesday – plenty of depth as well as a strong winning performance from Jones.

Bywater takes WADC win at Leominster

Clare Bywater won the WADC Vault event at Shooters in Leominster, defeating Karrina Barnes 3–2 in the final.

Bywater recorded four wins and was responsible for each of her five highest listed averages in the tournament data, headed by a 60.93 against Christine Sheen.

The biggest average of the night

Away from the immediate South West, one number is difficult to ignore.

Mike Gillet produced a huge 112.73 average at the Locomotive Engineers Social Club in Eastleigh.

Gillet went on to win the tournament, beating Kieren Dobson 3–1 in the final and finishing with seven victories.

The national figures contained plenty more big numbers. Dan Grouped, Ash Mckeever, Finley Bennett and Sean Ross all reached 107.36, while Lee Wreford hit 104.86 and Darren Edwards recorded 103.66.

Five performances that caught my eye

It's a good illustration of why I don't want Yesterday's Results to become simply a list of tournament winners. There are often some excellent performances hidden deeper inside these events.

Another 71 tournaments into Q4QS

The most important part for the longer-term project is the volume of information being collected.

Another 71 tournaments from one day have now been added to Q4QS.

Every one adds more information to the player records, rankings, venue data, form and head-to-head history I'm building.

The daily result is interesting on its own. Over time, though, it's the accumulation of all those results that should make Q4QS increasingly useful.

Yesterday’s Darts Results: Paul Jones, Ryan Greenslade & Warren Rixon Win as 47 Tournaments Join Q4QS 20th September 2026

Friday brought another sizeable batch of grassroots darts into Q4QS, with 47 tournaments added to the database.

There were some enormous averages elsewhere — including two 115.62s — but closer to my main South and South West coverage, there were titles for Paul Jones at Bengeworth, Ryan Greenslade in Taunton and Warren Rixon in Bridgwater.

Paul Jones takes the title at Bengeworth

The Bengeworth continues to provide plenty of useful Q4QS data, and this time it was Paul Jones who came through to take the Friday Vault title.

Jones finished the tournament with six wins, eventually beating Jason Reeve 3–2 in the final.

The biggest average of the night belonged to Danny Lauby, who produced a 93.94, while Reeve reached 84.51 and Jones' best recorded figure was 81.24.

It is another good example of why these reports aren't simply a list of the highest averages. Jones may not have topped that particular table, but he was the player left standing at the end.

Ryan Greenslade wins at Pegasus 68

At Pegasus 68 Club in Taunton, Ryan Greenslade came through a close final against Ellie Harwood to take the title 3–2.

Greenslade finished with six wins, while Paul Gardiner and Harwood both recorded five.

Gardiner produced the best average of the event at 75.54, with Harwood reaching 69.46 and Greenslade recording 68.52 among his best figures.

It's another South West venue where the growing amount of data should become increasingly interesting as the season develops.

Warren Rixon wins at Bridgwater Darts Academy

There was another local title at Bridgwater Darts Academy, where Warren Rixon won BDA DiDo Week 7.

Rixon accumulated seven victories, one more than Reuben Avis, and beat Calvin Livesey 2–0 in the final.

Avis produced the event's highest average with 79.11, while Rixon's best was 68.32.

With the BDA events now feeding into Q4QS as well, this is another useful strand of the South West grassroots picture.

Andy Steed among the best at Galaxy Sports Bar

There was no title for Andy Steed this time, but he was again among the stronger performers at Galaxy Sports Bar.

Tony Clark won the event, beating Carl McFarlane 3–0, with both players recording eight wins.

Clark produced a 91.09, McFarlane a 90.92, while Steed reached 88.41 and 87.69 and recorded six victories.

Kirsten Casley takes WADC Vault title

The women's game also features in Friday's roundup, with Kirsten Casley winning the WADC Vault 3.0 at Briton Ferry Workies.

Casley defeated Rhian O'Sullivan 3–1 in the final. O'Sullivan produced the highest recorded average of the event at 81.54, while Casley reached 76.82.

The WADC events are now an important part of the results I am bringing into Q4QS, adding another layer to the growing picture of the women's grassroots game.

Two huge 115.62 averages

Further afield, two performances shared top billing across Friday's Q4QS additions.

Roger Crook hit 115.62 at GWRSA Club in Didcot, followed by a 97.14, 85.89, 83.50 and 82.44. Even more impressively, Crook converted that scoring into the title, finishing with eight wins and beating Michael Cuddon 3–1 in the final.

At Walderslade Club in Chatham, Ross Lowe also produced a 115.62. Lowe added a 96.97 and 93.94 and eventually beat Tony Fleming 3–1 in the final.

Steve Haggerty produces a huge winning run

Another particularly impressive performance came from Steve Haggerty at The Castle & Falcon.

Haggerty didn't just record a 107.36. His listed top five performances were 107.36, 95.94, 93.94, 93.94 and 91.09.

He finished with seven wins and completed the night by beating Cain Allen 3–0 in the final.

That is a seriously consistent set of numbers rather than one isolated big average.

Friday's standout averages

Across the 47 tournaments, the leading individual performances included Roger Crook 115.62, Ross Lowe 115.62, Steve Haggerty 107.36, Andrew Hibbert 104.86, Tony Chapman 103.66, Mike Breckell 103.66, Keenan Thomas 100.20 and Andy Smith 100.20.

For the South West-focused side of Q4QS, though, the main stories belong to the tournament winners: Paul Jones at Bengeworth, Ryan Greenslade at Pegasus 68 and Warren Rixon at Bridgwater Darts Academy, alongside another WADC event entering the database.

Another 47 tournaments are now in the database, adding more results to the player records, venue histories, head-to-heads, rankings and form data behind Q4QS.

Yesterday’s Darts Results: Shaun Vernall Hits 111.33 as 70 Tournaments Join Q4QS – 16 September 2026

Wednesday nights are rapidly becoming one of the biggest nights of the week for the Q4QS database.

This time, 70 tournaments were added, bringing another huge batch of grassroots results into the rankings, player records and venue data.

And there were some seriously good numbers among them.

For my South and South West coverage, Shaun Vernall produced the standout performance with a huge 111.33 average at The Bengeworth in Evesham, and then backed it up with another 107.36. Vince Tipple ultimately took the title there, beating Danny Lauby 3–1 in the final.

Meanwhile, Chard produced another excellent tournament, Andy Steed won again in Barnstaple, Josh Lewis took the title in Stonehouse and there was plenty more happening across the region.

Vernall goes 111.33 and 107.36 at Evesham

Let's start at The Bengeworth.

Shaun Vernall hit 111.33 and 107.36 averages on the same night.

Those are two enormous performances at this level, and the 111.33 was the highest average among the South West performances highlighted in Wednesday's results.

But the tournament belonged to Vince Tipple.

Tipple produced two 93.94 averages during his run and finished with seven victories before beating Danny Lauby 3–1 in the final.

Lauby collected six wins, while Aaron Edmunds, Reece Pinches and Darrel Williams all recorded five.

It's another good example of something that comes up regularly in these reports: the player producing the night's biggest average doesn't necessarily end up holding the trophy.

Mason Doble wins a high-quality Chard event

The Choughs Hotel in Chard produced arguably the deepest local set of headline performances of the night.

Jack Walker averaged 107.36.

Darren Herbert wasn't far behind with 103.66.

And eventual champion Mason Doble joined them in three figures with 100.20.

Doble then did what neither of the other two managed – he won the tournament.

He finished with a remarkable nine victories, with Herbert recording eight, before Doble beat Herbert 3–0 in the final.

Three different players breaking the 100 barrier makes Chard one of Wednesday's obvious venues to highlight.

Andy Steed wins again

Andy Steed's name seems to be appearing rather regularly in these reports.

This time the venue was Barnstaple Town FC, where Steed finished with seven victories and defeated Zac Sanders 3–1 in the final.

He also produced the highest average of the tournament at 91.80, alongside further performances of 86.91 and 82.20.

Daniel Donovan reached 88.41, while Sanders and Nigel Gullon both recorded six wins.

So unlike some of Wednesday's other tournaments, there was no split between the statistical standout and the champion here.

Steed topped the averages and took the title.

Logan Symons Jnr takes Bodmin title

There was another strong winning performance at Bodmin Band & Social Club.

Logan Symons Jnr averaged 96.97, 93.94 and 90.18 during the tournament and finished with seven victories.

Martin Smith also collected seven wins, setting up the final between the pair.

Symons edged it 3–2 to take the title.

That's a particularly impressive trio of averages from the eventual champion.

Josh Lewis delivers in Stonehouse

At Magpies Social Club in Stonehouse, Josh Lewis was both the leading scorer and the tournament winner.

Lewis hit a tournament-best 90.94, added 81.98 later in the competition and then averaged 81.14 as he defeated Matthew Kerry 4–2 in the final.

He finished the tournament with six wins.

Another strong Wednesday night performance from one of the venues right in the heart of my regular Q4QS coverage.

Sartan title goes to Alfie Palmer

The Sartan Club in Bishopsworth produced another competitive Vault.

Matthew Rogers recorded the highest average at 93.94, while Steve Boundy produced 88.41, 84.09 and 83.82.

But it was Alfie Palmer who came through the field.

Palmer finished with eight victories and defeated Boundy 3–2 in the final.

With Sartan now becoming such an important part of the Q4QS South West data, these Wednesday results continue to add considerably to the venue's player records and rankings.

Wayne Millin fires in 103.66

There was another eye-catching three-figure performance at the Purton Red House Under-70 event.

Wayne Millin averaged 103.66, despite the tournament being an under-70 average competition.

Millin ultimately recorded five victories, while Chris Martin went on to take the tournament with eight wins and Samuel King finished with seven.

It is one of those unusual individual performances that immediately jumps out when going through the daily data.

Andy Evans takes Devizes title

There was also a strong night for Andy Evans at the Devizes Town Round Robin Under-70 event.

Evans recorded eight victories and produced the tournament's two highest averages – 84.42 and 81.29.

Daniel Fitchett also reached eight wins, but Evans won their final 4–1 to take the title.

Beyond the South West

Although these reports remain weighted towards my South and South West coverage, some numbers elsewhere are simply too good to ignore.

George Cressey produced a 111.33 at Tonbridge and followed it with a 100.20 on his way to eight victories and the title, while Joe Croft hit 107.36 at Abbots Langley.

There were plenty more big averages across Wednesday's enormous results set as well.

That's one of the benefits of the database getting larger: I can keep the main focus on the areas Q4QS currently covers most closely while still spotting performances elsewhere that deserve a mention.

70 more tournaments added to Q4QS

The number at the top of today's graphic is probably worth emphasising: 70 tournaments.

Every one adds more information to the Q4QS picture – more matches, more player form, more head-to-head data, more venue history and more evidence behind the rankings.

For the South West, my main Wednesday stories are Shaun Vernall's 111.33 and 107.36 at Evesham, Jack Walker's 107.36 at Chard, Mason Doble's nine-win title run, another Andy Steed victory and strong winning performances from Logan Symons Jnr and Josh Lewis.

And with this much darts now arriving on a single Wednesday, there is becoming far more to these daily reports than simply listing who won.

Yesterday’s Darts Results: Michael Wiles Hits 111.33 as Boundy, Steed & Martin Win – 14 September 2026

Monday brought another sizeable batch of grassroots darts into Q4QS, with 45 tournaments added to the database.

There were Vault 19 events, WADC Vaults, Junior VOLTS and a selection of other round-robin competitions, with plenty happening across the South and South West alongside the wider national picture.

The performance of the day came from Michael Wiles, who produced a huge 111.33 average at the Len Forge Centre in Southend – and unlike some of the biggest averages we see, he backed it up by going all the way and winning the tournament.

Closer to home, there were titles for Steve Boundy in Minehead, Andy Steed in Paignton, Robbie Martin in Salisbury and Mitchell Leeming in Evesham, while the women's events produced an interesting double-header at Legends Lounge in Plymouth.

Wiles produces the performance of the day

Michael Wiles didn't just throw one exceptional leg or match in Southend.

His 111.33 was followed by averages of 93.94, 93.94, 92.03 and 91.09 among his recorded best performances.

Most importantly, he finished the job.

Wiles beat Craig Vickers 3–1 in the final and finished the tournament with eight victories. It was an impressive combination of peak scoring and consistency and comfortably makes him my standout player from Monday's national results.

Jack Walker fires 107.36 – but Boundy takes Minehead

The highest average from the South West came at The Banckers Draught in Minehead.

Jack Walker hit 107.36, the second-highest individual average anywhere in Monday's 45-tournament report.

But it was Steve Boundy who took the title.

Boundy recorded eight wins and beat David Farmer 3–1 in the final, with his own best recorded average reaching 91.09. Farmer also had a strong night, producing a 93.94 and reaching the final.

That's a good example of why these daily reports are about more than simply listing the highest averages. Walker produced the biggest number in Minehead; Boundy produced the tournament-winning run.

Andy Steed wins in Paignton

There was another South West title at 8 Ball Bar & Sports in Paignton, where Andy Steed beat Finlay Cleave 3–1 in the final.

Cleave actually produced two of the strongest figures of the event, averaging 96.48 and 88.41, while Leigh Bowman topped the night's averages with 96.97.

Steed, though, matched Cleave's seven wins and took the match that mattered most to secure the Vault 19 title.

Robbie Martin leads the way in Salisbury

One of Monday's strongest all-round performances came from Robbie Martin at Stratford Social Club in Salisbury.

Martin hit 96.97 and 91.09, won eight matches and then defeated Martin Grearson 3–0 in the final.

Grearson had an excellent tournament himself, recording 93.94 and 91.09 averages and seven victories, while Ryan Furness reached 88.41.

Martin therefore didn't just win the event – he did it against some very solid opposition and with numbers to back up the result.

Mitchell Leeming wins a competitive Evesham event

The Bengeworth Club in Evesham produced another interesting result.

Mitchell Leeming beat Vince Tipple 3–2 in the final, finishing with six victories.

Tipple produced the highest average of the tournament at 93.94 and also hit 92.02, while Leeming reached 91.76 and 88.99.

Shaun Vernall was another player to feature prominently, with an 89.39 among his results.

It looks like one of those tournaments where the headline average only tells part of the story – Leeming negotiated the field and came away with the title.

A Monday double-header for the women in Plymouth

The WADC results are becoming an increasingly useful addition to the Q4QS database, and Monday gave us an unusual situation at Legends Lounge in Plymouth.

Anna Pearce beat Chrissie Kinnaird 3–2 to win one of the recorded WADC Vault events.

Then, in another WADC Vault at the same venue, Kinnaird reversed the result and beat Pearce 3–1.

Pearce produced the strongest average across those Plymouth women's results at 66.34.

So rather than one player dominating the night, Pearce and Kinnaird effectively shared the honours – one title apiece.

Junior VOLTS produce another Salisbury storyline

There was more happening at Stratford Social Club than the Robbie Martin victory.

The Junior VOLTS event there was won by Jake Bertenshaw, who beat Jacob Stott 3–2 in the final.

However, Jayden Walker produced a particularly impressive sequence of averages for the junior event: 93.94, 85.08, 80.52 and 77.74.

Joshua Stott, Bertenshaw and Jacob Stott all recorded five wins, while Walker finished with four.

A 93.94 at junior level certainly deserves a mention among Monday's standout performances.

CJ Ayres wins at Highbridge

There was another Junior VOLTS title in the South West, with CJ Ayres beating Alfie Coles 3–0 at Highbridge.

Ayres recorded seven victories and produced averages of 77.08, 75.54 and 75.15.

Logun Godbeer actually supplied the highest individual average of the tournament with 80.52, but Ayres put together the strongest overall run and took the title.

Monday's standout averages

The national top end was strong again:

Wiles therefore takes the overall honours, but Jack Walker's 107.36 in Minehead stands out from a South West perspective, while Robbie Martin's combination of a 96.97, eight wins and the Salisbury title was arguably one of the most complete local performances.

And with another 45 tournaments now in the Q4QS database, all of these results can continue feeding into the rankings, player records, venue data, form and the wider picture of grassroots darts.

Yesterday’s Darts Results: 66 Tournaments, Palmer Hits 107.36 & South West Winners – 9 September 2026

Another huge Wednesday as 66 tournaments join Q4QS

Wednesday delivered another enormous night of grassroots darts, with 66 tournaments added to the Q4QS database from events around the country.

For the South West, there were winners stretching from Bristol and Evesham through to Stonehouse, Barnstaple and Bodmin, while several players produced performances well into three figures.

One of the standout combinations of scoring and results came at the Sartan Club in Bishopsworth, where Ryan Palmer hit a 107.36 average and went on to win the tournament.

Palmer takes the honours at the Sartan

Ryan Palmer came through a strong Vault 19.0 field at the Sartan Club, beating Zach Quinn 3–2 in the final.

Palmer had earlier produced a superb 107.36 average against Luke Harding, while Quinn showed plenty of quality himself with a 97.26. Shay Goff reached 93.94 and Geoff James 91.09.

Palmer and Quinn both finished the evening with seven victories, with Steve Boundy collecting six.

Coombes hits 107.36 as Vernall wins Evesham

There was another 107.36 in the region at the Bengeworth Club in Evesham, this time from Richard Coombes against Andy Hammond.

The tournament itself belonged to Shaun Vernall, who produced an excellent night of scoring on the way to eight victories.

Vernall averaged 96.97 against Danny Lauby and 92.02 against Hammond before recording 91.28 in a 3–2 final victory over Pete Hughes. Hughes finished with seven wins, while Coombes collected six.

Nankervis fires 107.36 in St Austell

Jack Nankervis added another South West 107.36 at The Pitch Sports Bar in St Austell — and this one came as part of a tournament-winning night.

Nankervis recorded the figure in a 2–0 victory over Neil Dudbridge before later beating Dave Hampton 3–0 in the final, averaging 92.02 in the title decider.

Nankervis and Hampton both finished with six victories.

Kay wins in Bodmin as Symons Jnr breaks 100

Bodmin produced another of Wednesday's strongest South West events.

Jamie Kay took the Vault 19.0 title at Bodmin Band & Social Club, beating James Chudleigh 3–0 in the final and recording a 95.94 average in the process.

Kay also hit another 95.94 during the tournament and finished with eight victories, but the night's biggest figure belonged to Logan Symons Jnr, who averaged 103.66 against Chris Gill.

Chudleigh contributed a 93.47 and finished the night with seven victories.

Steed takes Barnstaple title

At Barnstaple Town FC, Andy Steed completed an eight-win night by beating Nigel Gullon 3–0 in the final.

Steed saved his best recorded performance for the title match, averaging 88.41, while Gullon had earlier reached 85.89 and finished the tournament with six victories.

McCready wins eight in Leominster

Alec McCready was the winner at Shooters Bar in Leominster after another consistent night.

McCready beat Chris Hurds 3–2 in the final, finished with eight victories and topped the tournament averages with a 92.02.

Connor Millin reached 88.41, while Hurds collected six wins on the way to the final.

Cantillion takes Stonehouse honours

The Magpies Social Club in Stonehouse also produced a local winner, with Alex Cantillion beating Josh Lewis 3–1 in the final.

Cantillion finished with six victories and also produced the tournament's highest recorded average, an 88.93 against Paul Meyer.

Lewis reached 84.78 and collected five wins, with Andy Sim also finishing on five.

Huge averages around the country

Beyond the South West, there was some excellent scoring.

Joe Croft produced a superb 115.62 at Abbots Langley on his way to winning the tournament, while Edward Manley, Phil Johnson-Hale and Jake B-Smith were among several players to record 107.36 averages.

There were also ton-plus performances from Chas Barstow and Jake Eichen during another exceptionally busy Vault programme.

Wednesday's South West picture

The six names featured on today's Q4QS graphic give a good indication of the geographical spread of the night: Ryan Palmer, Shaun Vernall, Jamie Kay, Alec McCready, Andy Steed and Alex Cantillion all collected titles.

Perhaps the biggest story, though, was the scoring. Palmer and Richard Coombes both produced 107.36 averages, Jack Nankervis matched that figure in Cornwall and Logan Symons Jnr broke the 100 barrier in Bodmin.

With another 66 tournaments now incorporated, Wednesday has added another substantial block of matches to the Q4QS rankings, player records, venue statistics and form data.

Yesterday’s Darts Results South and South West (12th August 2026) – Pete Hughes Shines as 51 Tournaments Hit the Q4QS Database

 

Tuesday produced another packed night of grassroots darts, with 51 tournaments added to the Q4QS database from across the country.

As usual, the focus here is primarily on the South West and surrounding areas, and there was plenty to pick out. Pete Hughes produced the standout local performance at Bretforton, while there were victories for Lee Andrews in Bristol, Warren Ryan at Portishead and Daren Field in Chard.

Further afield, some huge individual averages were recorded on a night where several players broke through the 100 barrier.

Pete Hughes Impresses Again at Bretforton

One of the performances of the night came from Pete Hughes at the Vault 18.0 event at Bretforton Sports Club, Evesham.

Hughes went all the way to the title, defeating Dave Honey 3–0 in the final, and his numbers across the tournament were particularly impressive.

He recorded a 103.66 average against Vicky Barnett and followed that with a 100.78 against Dave Barnett. Another 98.48 came during his meeting with Mitchell Leeming as Hughes accumulated eight wins across the event.

Antony Butler also registered a 93.94, while Mitchell Leeming hit 93.08.

It was another strong night at Bretforton and Hughes continues to be a name regularly appearing among the better performers in these results round-ups.

Lee Andrews Takes Bristol Victory

At Bessellscotts in Bristol, it was Lee Andrews who emerged victorious.

Andrews defeated Matthew Reddy 3–0 in the final and recorded five wins during the tournament. His best recorded average was 78.60, with further efforts of 75.74, 75.15 and 73.92 appearing among the leading performances at the venue.

Matthew Reddy also collected five victories, while Joe Preedy reached four.

Warren Ryan Wins at Portishead

There was a competitive field once again at Portishead Workmens Darts, where the Tuesday Open also offered a prize for the furthest-progressing under-55 player.

Warren Ryan took the title, beating Steve Boundy 4–2 in the final.

Interestingly, Boundy produced several of the best individual averages of the tournament, including an 85.89, but Ryan ultimately claimed the main prize. Both players finished the night with eight recorded wins.

Daren Field Wins in Chard

Daren Field was another familiar name among Tuesday's winners, taking the Vault 18.0 event at The Choughs Hotel in Chard.

Field defeated Kieran Spurdle 3–1 in the final, finishing with seven victories for the night.

Darren Herbert recorded the highest average at the venue with 85.89, while Field produced an 85.03 during his victory over Herbert.

Plenty More Across the South West

Tuesday's programme stretched much further across the region.

At the JDC VOLTS Series event in Minehead, Kyle Chivers took the title after beating Aaron Rea 3–1 in the final. Chivers recorded eight wins during the tournament.

Further south at Indian Queens in Cornwall, Gareth Griffiths enjoyed an excellent evening. Griffiths won the tournament and produced averages of 98.02, 96.97, 96.97 and 94.66 among his recorded performances.

The Tiverton event did not have a winner/final detected in the available match data, so I won't attribute a tournament victory there. However, Andy Steed recorded a 100.20 average, while Craig Todd hit 93.94.

Big Numbers Further Afield

There were some eye-catching averages elsewhere in Tuesday's results.

The highest recorded mark was 107.36, achieved independently by Ryan Davies, Liam Cook, Daniel Astbury and John Roberts. Bryan Flew wasn't far behind with a 104.86, while several more players topped 100.

Liam Cook also converted his big scoring into a tournament victory at the PILCS Club in Pontypool, while John Roberts won at The Church Wicketts in Dawley.

It is worth remembering that these are individual match averages rather than tournament averages, but they provide another useful snapshot of the level being produced around the grassroots game.

Another Busy Tuesday in the Database

With 51 tournaments added, Tuesday was another substantial night for the Q4QS database.

Beyond simply recording winners, continuing to collect these results starts to build a much bigger picture: which players are winning regularly, who is producing the strongest numbers, which venues are attracting competitive fields and who may be worth watching over the weeks and months ahead.

And on this particular Tuesday, Pete Hughes' combination of a tournament victory and multiple high averages makes his Bretforton performance particularly difficult to overlook.
