JDC VOLTS National Finals 2026 Preview: The Next Generation Heads to Hangar 61

 

Some of the very best young darts players in the country head to Hangar 61 in Bristol on Saturday for the 2026 JDC VOLTS National Finals.

Throughout the year, youngsters have been competing in JDC VOLTS events around the country. Now that pathway reaches its national conclusion, with a sold-out field of 48 players and considerably more than just the title at stake.

The format should make for a fascinating day. The players are split into eight groups of six, playing best-of-five-leg round robins. The top three from each group progress, but winning the group carries a significant advantage: the eight group winners advance directly to the Last 16, while second and third place must survive an additional play-off.

From there, the knockout matches are best of seven – but there is a major twist at the end.

The final will not be played at Hangar 61.

Instead, the two remaining players will earn the opportunity to contest the best-of-nine-leg final on stage at the PDC World Grand Prix in October. The eventual National Finals champion will also secure a place in the 2027 JPL.

For players at this stage of their development, that makes Saturday a potentially significant day.

A field with plenty of quality

My Q4QS data has matches for 38 of the entrants, with 35 of those already linked to player profiles.

And one player stands out immediately at the top of those rankings.

Jack Johnson comes into the tournament as Q4QS No.197 with an 83.02 Q4QS Average – but even those figures don't quite tell the story of his latest form.

Johnson recently reached a Vault 19 final at Tonbridge with an 88.71 tournament average, before following it with a semi-final at Rusthall where he averaged 89.97. His recent individual performances include 93.94, 90.18 and 91.09 averages.

Those are serious numbers in any company.

But Johnson is certainly not alone.

Logan Symons Jr has been extraordinarily consistent in recent local competition. His latest five recorded tournaments contain two finals and three semi-finals, including a Vault 19 final at Indian Queens where he averaged 85.96. He's 8–2 across his latest ten matches.

Then there is Finlay Cleave, who arrives as one of the hottest players in the field.

Cleave won a Vault 19 event at Paignton with an 82.18 tournament average, including a 91.57 in one victory, and has won nine of his latest ten recorded matches. He also has another recent tournament victory in the database.

JDC experience could matter

There are plenty in this field already accustomed to playing within the JDC structure.

Dylan Cowley has an 8–2 recent record and has already won on the JDC England North Foundation Tour, going 7–0 with an 80.15 tournament average. He has also reached another Foundation Tour final and has a Vault victory averaging 82.04 on his recent record.

Ben Lundstrom is another North Foundation Tour winner. His recent title came via a perfect 7–0 run with a 75.66 average, while an 80.92 and 86.63 feature among his notable match performances.

Alfie O'Flynn-Rogers and Alfie O'Brien have both been competing on the JDC Advanced Tour. O'Flynn-Rogers has produced an 82.14 match average, while O'Brien has an 81.38 on his record and reached the Last 32 of Advanced Tour Event 16.

That experience of playing against strong youth fields could become particularly valuable once Saturday reaches the knockout stages.

Winners arriving from around the country

One of the things I like most about this field is that it genuinely brings together players who have been producing results in different parts of the country.

Jack Powell arrives having won the JDC VOLTS Wales Series 7 Regional Finals, going unbeaten at 5–0 with a 72.15 tournament average. He is also 9–1 across his latest ten matches.

There's a more local interest in Joseph Lauridsen, who won the JDC VOLTS Southwest Series 7 Regional Finals. Lauridsen went 5–0 in that tournament with a 67.17 average and has now won nine of his latest ten recorded matches.

Harvey-Lee Nelson-Harris won the West Midlands Regional Finals, while Remy Stapleton arrives after winning the East Midlands Regional Finals 5–0.

And Charlie Mossman has already enjoyed success in the VOLTS series at The Banckers Draught in Minehead, winning one event 9–0 with a 73.65 average.

So while the Q4QS rankings give us a useful guide, this is exactly the sort of tournament where simply working down a ranking list could be misleading.

Players arriving in form

There are several more who deserve attention.

Addison Hefferon is 8–2 and recently reached a final at the Welsh Open, Masters & Classic, averaging 77.17, before making another semi-final at a Vault 19 event in Bletchley.

Oscar Rumsey comes to Bristol immediately after an unbeaten 8–0 Vault 19 victory, averaging 76.83 for the event. He's 9–1 across his latest ten.

Sam Jones is also 9–1 and won the SDO Academy Development Series 3.4 last time out, while Logun Godbeer has been repeatedly reaching finals in the South West and is 8–2 across his latest ten.

That's before we get to players for whom my database has much less information. Ten entrants are currently unranked in this particular Q4QS export, so there is every chance that some of Saturday's biggest threats are not obvious from the numbers alone.

Six to Follow

Picking six from a 48-player national youth final is inevitably difficult, but these are the six I'll be particularly interested in following.

Jack Johnson – The standout Q4QS numbers in the field, and recent tournament averages of 88.71 and 89.97 suggest a player arriving in outstanding scoring form.

Finlay Cleave – 9–1 recently and already a Vault 19 winner, taking the Paignton title with an 82.18 tournament average.

Logan Symons Jr – Two finals and three semi-finals across the latest five recorded events, including an 85.96 average during a recent Vault 19 final run.

Dylan Cowley – A JDC Foundation Tour winner with an unbeaten 80.15 title run and an 8–2 recent record.

Addison Hefferon – Another 8–2 player who has combined a recent Welsh final with a Vault 19 semi-final.

Jack Powell – Comes into the National Finals as a JDC VOLTS Regional Finals champion and has won nine of the latest ten matches in the database.

There are plenty I could have included instead. Oscar Rumsey, Ben Lundstrom, Joseph Lauridsen, Charlie Mossman and Sam Jones all arrive with recent titles on their records, while several others have already shown they can produce considerably bigger averages than their overall numbers might suggest.

A big opportunity at Hangar 61

For me, this is one of the more interesting tournaments taking place at Hangar 61 this year.

We talk a lot about pathways in darts, but the VOLTS series is a very visible example of one. Players have been competing around the country throughout the year and now 48 of them come together for a National Finals day.

By the end of Saturday, that field will have been reduced to just two.

And those two will have something rather special to look forward to: a final on the PDC World Grand Prix stage in October.

For the eventual winner, there's the additional prize of a 2027 JPL place.

Forty-eight young players arrive at Hangar 61 on Saturday morning.

For two of them, the journey continues onto a much bigger stage.

Robbie Long Leads the Way on a Busy Thursday Night of Grassroots Darts - Results SOuth and SOuth West 20th August 2026

 

Robbie Long was among the headline winners on another busy night of grassroots darts on Thursday, producing a strong performance to take the honours at Hangar 61.

Results from across the country again demonstrated the depth of the grassroots game, with Keith Selby, Bryan Flew, Stewart Wilde and others producing some of the night's strongest recorded averages.

For Q4QS, though, the standout story from the South West came at Hangar 61.

Long takes the title at Hangar 61

Robbie Long continued his impressive recent form by winning the Thursday night round robin at Hangar 61.

Long defeated Martyn Freeman 3–1 in the final, having also produced the tournament's highest recorded average with an 88.41 during his run. He added an 85.79 later in the competition, while Simon Lloyd recorded an 83.70.

It was another notable result for a player who has been putting together an increasingly impressive run on the local circuit.

Selby breaks the ton at the Local Lock Up

The biggest genuine individual average I'm highlighting from Thursday came from Keith Selby, who produced an excellent 100.20 during Local Lock Up Series 13 Week 7 at Darts In Watford.

Selby ultimately reached the final, where John Ayris claimed the title with a 3–1 victory.

Ayris enjoyed an excellent night himself, recording two 91.09 averages on his way through the competition.

Bull takes MiMo 2008

At Locks Heath Working Men's Club, Nathan Bull emerged victorious in MiMo 2008.

Bull completed an eight-win evening by defeating Carl Houston 3–0 in the final, while Joey Cole produced the highest recorded average from the event with 91.09.

Bull himself reached 83.50 during the competition as he put together an impressive run to the title.

Strong numbers at Brynmawr

There was plenty of quality at Brynmawr Social Club, where Craig Dobbins eventually took the money-in-money-out title.

Dobbins defeated David Watkins 3–2 in the final, but it was Bryan Flew who produced the standout statistical performance.

Flew registered an excellent 93.94, while Cameron Edwards, Dean Rossiter and Watkins all reached 91.09.

That made Brynmawr one of the strongest events of the night in terms of the leading recorded averages.

Bailey survives a marathon in Devizes

There were 75 matches recorded at the Devizes Town Round Robin U70 Average before Christopher Bailey emerged with the title.

Bailey edged Ian Runnacles 4–3 in the final, while Darren Braine recorded the tournament's highest average at 81.24. Mike Barton was next with 78.05.

Hemming wins Inbetween Vault

Wesley Hemming was another of Thursday's winners, taking the Inbetween Vault 1 title after defeating Elliot Smith 3–1 in the final.

The highest recorded average came from Stewart Wilde, who hit an impressive 92.02.

Hemming also produced 84.18 during his title-winning run.

Caste claims Hotshots victory

At Hotshots Sports Bar in Bletchley, Mat Caste took the Vault Break 1 title.

Caste defeated Addison Hefferon 3–1 in the final, with Hefferon having earlier produced the competition's highest recorded average of 90.18.

Charlie Collins also impressed with performances of 88.41 and 86.51.

More winners across the grassroots game

There were plenty more players celebrating tournament victories.

Daniel Killick won the Champagne Shot Darts RR Series U65.9, beating Steve Hylands 4–2 in the final. Hylands' 85.89 was the highest recorded average from the competition.

At The Junction Inn, Finley Bennett defeated Stephen Cake 3–1 to take the title, with George Humphreys producing an 88.41.

Ryan Fuller won Thursday Night MIMO at Legends Darts Lounge, while Aaron Boucher took the Thursday Night Under 60 Average competition at Highridge United Football Club.

And at Samba Darts Academy, Nick Whitehouse came through a close final against Mark Zambra to take the Vault Style Round Robin title.

Alongside Selby's 100.20, Flew's 93.94 and Wilde's 92.02, there was once again plenty of evidence of the quality being produced throughout the grassroots game.

Yesterday's Darts Results South and South West – Saturday 15 August 2026

 

Saturday produced one of the busiest and strongest grassroots days of the week, with 32 tournaments added to the Q4QS database, ranging from major open competitions and local round robins to junior events, ADC Vaults and the PDC Challenge Tour.

The Q4QS graphic highlights Owen Bates after an excellent victory in Ilfracombe, but there was plenty more happening across the South and South West – including an impressive win for Chris Allen at Hangar 61 in Bristol, a strong junior event in Salisbury and another title for Ellie Harwood.

Bates takes the Ilfracombe Summer Open

One of the headline performances came from Owen Bates, who put together an excellent run to win the Ilfracombe Summer Open.

It was a substantial competition, with 127 matches recorded, and Bates came through with 11 victories before beating Nigel Gullon 5–2 in the final.

His scoring was impressive throughout. Bates produced the tournament's three highest recorded averages – 99.62, 97.62 and 96.97 – with the 99.62 coming against Clint Parkhouse.

Parkhouse himself hit 90.43, while Andy Steed recorded 88.41 during a run which saw him collect nine victories.

A very convincing tournament win from Bates.

Chris Allen comes through a strong Hangar 61 field

One result that didn't make the featured six on the graphic but certainly deserves attention was Chris Allen's victory at Hangar 61 in Bristol.

The Open Round Robin generated 93 recorded matches, with Allen eventually defeating Luke Harding 5–3 in the final.

Allen won nine matches across the competition and also produced the best average of the event, an excellent 94.82.

Harding had a strong tournament himself, recording eight victories and averages including 84.06 and 83.50, while Shoey Ayres also hit 83.50.

That's exactly what makes some of these local opens worth following. A big field and plenty of competitive darts can make winning one a serious night's work, and Allen came through it impressively.

Mason Beaven wins Salisbury Junior Super Series

There was plenty to like about the Salisbury Junior Super Series 3, where Mason Beaven emerged victorious.

Beaven won nine matches and defeated Riley Milligan 5–3 in the final, while also producing the tournament's highest recorded average of 86.65.

There was strong scoring elsewhere too, particularly from Reggie Woollard, who twice averaged 83.50 and recorded seven victories. Zachary Petty and finalist Milligan also collected seven wins apiece.

Another encouraging example of the standard coming through the junior game in the region.

Ellie Harwood wins again

Ellie Harwood also deserves another mention after winning Saturday's Open PR Round Robin.

Harwood recorded nine victories and beat Ryan Greenslade 3–1 in the final.

Greenslade actually produced the highest averages of the tournament, including a 79.11 and 76.42, but it was Harwood who came through the field and took the title.

That's another tournament victory to add to a very promising spell.

Huge numbers around the country

There were some enormous individual performances on Saturday.

The biggest came from Riley James, who produced a remarkable 111.33 average at the Surrey Youth Open.

Challenge Tour 18 also generated some serious numbers, with Steve Lennon hitting 107.79 and 102.77, Daniel Klose recording 103.05 and 100.79, and eventual champion Archie Self producing a 101.55.

Self ultimately beat Klose 5–4 in the Challenge Tour 18 final, completing a seven-win run to the title.

Timothy Jones fires in 107.36

Away from the Challenge Tour, one of Saturday's best performances came at The 9 Darter in Port Talbot.

Timothy Jones won all eight of his recorded matches and completed the job with a 3–0 victory over Steve Miller in the final.

Even more impressive was his 107.36 average in that final. Jones also recorded 96.97, 86.91 and 85.89 during the tournament.

That makes his performance one of the strongest Vault displays in Saturday's results.

Astbury dominant at Dawley

Daniel Astbury produced another extremely strong Vault performance at The Church Wicketts in Dawley.

Astbury won eight matches, defeated Callum Lester 3–0 in the final and averaged a superb 104.86 in the decider.

That wasn't an isolated performance either. He twice hit 96.97 and also recorded a 92.02 during his title run.

Plenty happening in the junior game

Saturday was a particularly busy day for youth darts.

Alongside Mason Beaven's Salisbury victory, Charlie Lowin won the JDC VOLTS event at Bostin Darts, producing a 91.09 along the way. George Folly won at Bushey, George Jones took the Glanyrafon Arms event and Michael Solloway was victorious at The Bullseye Bar in Lichfield.

And at the Surrey Youth Open, while Riley James produced that spectacular 111.33, it was James Butler who eventually came through the huge event to take the title.

Another packed Saturday

There was plenty more beyond the headline performances.

Paul Hogan won at Burghfield with a 98.02 in the final, Dai Lewis took the Bordon Vault, Eddie Price won at Shrewsbury and Aaron Beeney was successful at Nambucca.

Stephen Cake also won a rearranged Vault at The Top Club, with both Cake and Creed Jenkins recording 100.20 averages.

But from a Q4QS/South West perspective, Owen Bates' Ilfracombe victory and Chris Allen's success at Hangar 61 are probably the two performances I'd put right at the heart of Saturday's roundup.

Bates combined a tournament victory with consistently excellent scoring, while Allen negotiated a sizeable, competitive Hangar 61 event and produced a 94.82 along the way.

Another very strong Saturday of grassroots darts.

Yesterday’s Darts Results South and South West – Thursday 13 August 2026

 

Thursday produced another huge night of grassroots darts, with 49 tournaments added to the Q4QS database, stretching from regular Vault competitions to limited-average events, junior darts and women’s competition.

There were plenty of familiar names among the winners, but also some excellent individual performances – including a 111.33 average from Jamie Kelling and several players breaking the 100 mark.

Freeman takes the honours at Hangar 61

After previewing the Thursday Night Round Robin at Hangar 61 yesterday, Martyn Freeman came through a competitive field to take the title.

Freeman defeated Corey Oates 3–0 in the final, completing an eight-win night. Liam Moore again showed why he is becoming a player to watch at the venue, recording a 93.94, while Joe Preedy also hit 93.94. Freeman's best recorded performance included an 84.59 average against Moore.

It was a good example of what I mentioned in the preview: these regular round-robin competitions can be extremely difficult to call because there are so many players capable of producing a run on the night.

Harper wins in Yeovil

At Yeovil Labour Club, Mike Harper was the winner, defeating Kevin Dalwood 3–0 in the final.

Harper won eight matches during the tournament and also produced the highest recorded average at the event, a 93.94. Dalwood reached the final with six victories, while Ben Collins also recorded six wins.

Another title for Pete Hughes

Pete Hughes continued his recent run by winning the Vault event at The Cue Corner in Worcester.

Hughes defeated Antony Butler 3–0 in the final, with both players recording seven victories during the tournament. The biggest averages at the venue came from Elliot Smith and Jamie Chaplin, who both reached 96.97, while Hughes recorded a 91.09.

Lawrey wins in Plymouth

Down in Plymouth, Scott Lawrey took the Vault title at Legends Lounge, beating Andy Steed 3–0 in the final.

Lawrey recorded seven victories and produced a best recorded average of 91.09, while Steed reached the final after another strong showing of his own, including an 86.71.

Robbie Martin wins at Shooters

There was another strong field at Shooters Bar in Leominster, where Robbie Martin defeated Matt Yarrow 3–2 to take the title.

Martin finished with eight wins, but one of the performances of the entire night came from Alfie Yarrow, who fired in a 103.66 average. Yarrow also produced two separate 91.09 performances during the event.

Ricky King produces 107.36

Ricky King wasn't just a winner at The Kings Arms in Wallisdown – he also produced one of Thursday's biggest numbers.

King defeated Tom Crocker 3–0 in the final and recorded eight wins, but the standout statistic was his 107.36 average against William Young.

That was the second-highest individual average recorded across Thursday's tournaments.

Kelling tops the averages

The biggest recorded average of the day belonged to Jamie Kelling, who hit an excellent 111.33 at The Wolversdene Club in Andover.

The tournament itself went to Paul Hogan, who beat Ben Simpson 3–2 in the final. Hogan also produced a pair of 100.20 averages during his run to the title.

Elsewhere, Archie Self hit 104.86 at Hotshots Sports Bar in Bletchley, while Ryan Walsh, Richie Edwards, Kurt Parry, Daniel Varney and Alfie Yarrow were among those recording 103.66 averages.

Junior darts

There was plenty happening in the junior game too.

At the JDC VOLTS Series 7 at Arrows, Resolven, Callum Smith defeated Jenson Ellaway 3–2 in the final, while Jack Powell produced the event's highest recorded average at 91.09.

At Cogan Coronation in Penarth, Dylan Person won eight matches on his way to the title, beating Archie Lane 3–1 in the final and recording the tournament's highest average of 74.70.

Mary Enos wins WADC Vault

There was also a victory for Mary Enos in the WADC Vault 2.0 at The Social Bull in Blackwood.

Enos defeated Elisha Perry 3–0 in the final and recorded five victories across the event.

Another busy Thursday

With 49 tournaments added, Thursday again demonstrated the scale of darts taking place below the professional game.

From Martyn Freeman winning at Hangar 61 and Mike Harper taking the honours in Yeovil to huge averages from Jamie Kelling, Ricky King and Alfie Yarrow, there was plenty happening across another packed evening.

And that is exactly what I'm trying to capture with Q4QS – not simply who won, but the players producing performances worth noticing throughout grassroots darts.

Lee Andrews takes Hangar 61 title as Martin Walker, Scott Lawrey and Callum Weaver also win

Thursday produced another huge night of grassroots darts, with 47 tournaments added to the Q4QS database.

With events stretching across the Q4QS coverage area, there was plenty to digest, but as usual we start in the South West, where Hangar 61, Yeovil, Plymouth and Worcester all produced interesting stories.

Lee Andrews wins a thriller at Hangar 61

After looking at a strong field in yesterday’s preview, Lee Andrews emerged as the winner of the Thursday Night Round Robin at Hangar 61.

Andrews defeated Liam Moore 3–2 in the final, completing an impressive evening in which he recorded eight victories – the most of anyone in the tournament. Moore finished with seven wins and had earlier produced the event's highest average of 85.08 in a 3–0 victory over Chris Williams.

There were other encouraging performances too. Dan Cornes and John Hawkins both recorded 81.24 averages, while Harvey Curtis picked up six wins during the competition.

For Andrews, though, it was another title to add to his recent good form – and beating Moore in the deciding match made it a particularly notable victory.

Martin Walker comes through in Yeovil

At Yeovil Labour Club, Martin Walker took the Vault 18.0 title after defeating Mike Harper 3–0 in the final.

Interestingly, Harper produced much of the night's eye-catching scoring. He hit the tournament's best average of 91.09, as well as further performances of 88.41 and 86.71. Walker, however, was the man who kept progressing and eventually finished the evening with seven victories and the title.

Zak Brown also produced an 88.41 during the competition.

It was a good example of why tournament darts is about considerably more than simply recording the highest average of the night.

Scott Lawrey takes the Plymouth title

Further south, Scott Lawrey won at Legends Lounge in Plymouth, defeating Isaac Phillips 3–1 in the final.

Lawrey's best recorded average was 86.13, while Phillips actually finished with seven wins compared with Lawrey's six. But once again it was the eventual champion who delivered when the title was on the line.

Dan Bevan wins at Kentisbeare

There was another strong South West field at The Wyndham Arms in Kentisbeare, where Dan Bevan defeated Andy Steed 3–2 in the final.

Steed produced some excellent numbers on the way, including a 96.97 average against Jack Walker and a 91.09 against Shane Bevan. Dan Bevan responded with a 90.18 of his own during his run and ultimately finished with eight victories and the title.

Callum Weaver takes Worcester honours

At The Cue Corner in Worcester, Callum Weaver defeated Steve Sewell 3–2 to take the Vault 18.0 title.

One of the most interesting performances there came from Pete Hughes, who recorded the tournament's highest average of 90.68, followed by an 87.78 later in the evening. Hughes eventually lost 3–2 to Weaver, while the champion and Sewell both recorded six victories.

Big numbers elsewhere

There were some exceptional figures further afield too.

The standout number in the complete set of results came from Andy Smith, who produced a huge 115.62 average at Cressex Social Club in High Wycombe. Smith went on to win the tournament, beating Jai Carlton 3–0 in the final, and remarkably recorded all five of the event's leading averages himself.

Mike Huntley also enjoyed an outstanding evening at The Bird in Maesteg. Huntley recorded averages of 107.36, 100.20 and 98.02 and completed the job by defeating Gavin Sterio 3–0 in the final.

At Evesham's Night Six, Mitchell Leeming, Joe Quiney and Darrel Williams all recorded 100.20 averages. The available results do not identify an overall winner for that competition, so I wouldn't attribute the title to anyone from the current data.

Another busy Thursday for Q4QS

Forty-seven tournaments makes this another substantial addition to the database, and Thursday once again demonstrated the depth of competitive darts taking place every week.

Locally, Lee Andrews, Martin Walker, Scott Lawrey, Dan Bevan and Callum Weaver all added titles, while performances from players such as Liam Moore, Mike Harper, Andy Steed and Pete Hughes showed that the winner's trophy only tells part of the story.

And with another full weekend of darts approaching, there should be plenty more movement in the Q4QS rankings to come.

Yesterday's Darts Results South and South West – 1 August 2026

 

Another busy Saturday on the grassroots darts circuit saw 30 tournaments added to the Q4QS database, with quality action spread across the Midlands, Wales and Southern England. From major weekend opens to Vault events and local competitions, there was plenty to catch the eye.

The headline performance came from Ashton Brown, who lifted the Sartan Club £300 Summer Open after defeating John Brown 5–3 in the final. Brown was outstanding throughout the day, producing a superb 107.36 average and several of the tournament's best displays.

Over in Shrewsbury, Paul Rowley enjoyed an excellent day at Vault 18.0 – Inn On The Green, defeating Jake B-Smith 3–1 in the final. Rowley also fired a 107.36 average, underlining the quality of his victory.

At the Bostin Darts Champion of Champions, Dan Nicholls continued his impressive form by edging Grant Jackson 3–2 in the final. Nicholls produced another 107.36 average during the event and was once again among the standout performers of the day.

Wales also produced an excellent standard, with Edward Manley overcoming Timothy Jones 3–2 in the final at Vault 18.0 – The 9 Darter, Port Talbot. Jones fired the highest genuine competitive average of the day at 111.33, while Manley answered with a superb 103.66 average on his way to the title.

At Hangar 61's Saturday Night Round Robin, Matt Baynham defeated Cameron Oram 3–1 in the final after an excellent evening's work. Baynham recorded the event's highest average of 79.11 and shared the most wins on the night with seven, making him a worthy addition to the day's standout performers.

Elsewhere, Richard Smith claimed victory at the Deers Leap Open, while Jay Woodhouse lifted the Wych Elm Vault title with a convincing 3–0 final victory. Stewart Wilde also came through a high-quality Cue Corner Grandslam, defeating Shaun Vernall in a closely contested final.

With August now underway, the race for places in the Q4QS rankings continues to gather momentum, and another busy programme of events promises plenty more movement over the coming weeks.

South West Results Round-Up (28th June 2026)– Steve Boundy Continues His Winning Run

 

Sunday produced another packed programme of grassroots darts across the South West, with familiar names once again lifting trophies and the region's junior players continuing to impress.

From Clevedon to Portishead and Patchway to Kentisbeare, it was another excellent day for local darts.

Steve Boundy Makes It Two From Two

Steve Boundy enjoyed another outstanding day by collecting two titles.

He first claimed victory at Clevedon United Football Club, defeating Josh Rose 3-0 in the final after winning seven matches during the competition.

Later in the day he repeated the feat at the Sunday Lunch MIMO in Portishead, once again overcoming Josh Rose in the final, this time recording eight victories across the event.

Boundy's consistency continues to make him one of the form players on the South West circuit.

Tommy Sperring Wins Again At Hangar 61

The latest JDC VOLTS event at Hangar 61 produced another excellent standard of junior darts.

Tommy Sperring defeated Charlie Grabham 3-0 in the final to secure another title.

Charlie Grabham recorded the highest average of the event with 83.50, while Jacob Godber also enjoyed another strong afternoon by reaching the latter stages.

The continued emergence of young talent remains one of the biggest positives for grassroots darts in the region.

Josh Rea Takes Kentisbeare Honours

Kentisbeare hosted another successful JDC VOLTS event.

Josh Rea lifted the title after edging past Freddie Davey 3-2 in the final.

Lee Barnes topped the averages with an excellent 91.09, while Joe Preedy also produced a series of strong performances throughout the afternoon.

Will Jackson Claims Somerset Under-18 Title

Somerset Darts Promotions once again showcased the strength of youth darts.

Will Jackson defeated Grayson "The Grenade" in the final after recording eight victories during the event.

Logun Godbeer produced the highest average of the competition, while Tai Anderson continued his excellent recent run with another impressive performance.

Other South West Highlights

Charlie Hymers won the latest ADC/WADC Gap Week 3 MiMo at Phoenix Darts Club after defeating Harry Martin in the final.

Meanwhile, Jack Chatterton claimed the U65 title at Bostin Darts, while Nigel Hodges lifted the Skittle Alley Pally Round Robin trophy after another strong day's work.

South West Results Round-Up – Palmer & Long Continue Winning Ways

 

Another busy evening saw 25 grassroots tournaments added to the Q4QS database, with several strong performances across Bristol, Wiltshire, Hampshire and the wider South West.

Ryan Palmer Triumphs At DartAsylum HQ

The Thursday Night Round Robin at DartAsylum HQ attracted another competitive field, with Ryan Palmer emerging victorious after defeating John Brown 3-0 in the final.

Palmer enjoyed an outstanding evening, recording eight victories during the tournament and producing a 90.69 average during his semi-final success over Jamie McKinnon.

John Brown also impressed on his way to the final, posting averages of 89.64 and 88.41, while Jamie McKinnon recorded one of the highest averages of the event with 91.09.

Robbie Long Wins At Hangar 61

Another strong field assembled at Hangar 61, where Robbie Long continued his impressive run of form.

Long defeated Lewis Kendall 3-0 in the final, producing a superb 93.94 average earlier in the tournament before finishing strongly with an 86.71 average in the final.

Matt Jackson also enjoyed another excellent evening, recording averages of 91.09 and 86.60 during his run through the competition.

Josh McCarthy Produces The Performance Of The Day

The highest average recorded anywhere in yesterday's Q4QS database came from Josh McCarthy at the MTFC Round Robin.

McCarthy defeated Alan Turnell 3-0 in the final and produced an outstanding 102.48 average, the only three-figure average recorded across the featured South West events.

Craig Gaynor Claims Faringdon Title

Faringdon Town Football Club hosted another successful In Between Cash Competition.

Craig Gaynor defeated Otto Hookham 3-1 in the final and also recorded the highest average of the tournament with 85.52.

Morgan Fowler Victorious At Deers Leap

Morgan Fowler enjoyed an excellent evening at the Deers Leap Under 70 Round Robin.

He defeated Samuel King 4-1 in the final after recording nine victories throughout the event, while Samuel King impressed with two averages above 83 during his run to the final.

Regional finals, youth darts and women's competition all featured prominently across the South West on Sunday, with titles decided in Gloucester, Bristol, Salisbury and Portishead.

Charlie Shears Wins ADC South West Regional Final

The headline event of the day came at Widden Rugby Club, where players competed in the ADC South West Vault 17.0 LEVEL UP CORE Regional Final.

Charlie Shears emerged victorious after edging past Paul Allen 4-3 in a closely fought final.

Both players enjoyed excellent tournaments, recording six wins each, while Jordan Baker and Stuart Melbourne also impressed during the event.

With regional honours on the line, it was a significant victory for Shears and another strong showcase for grassroots darts in the South West.

Tommy Sperring Triumphs At Hangar 61

The latest JDC VOLTS event at Hangar 61 in Patchway produced another encouraging display of junior talent.

Tommy Sperring defeated Charlie Grabham 3-0 in the final to secure the title, while Cody Kibble posted the highest average of the day at 76.42.

The continued growth of youth darts remains one of the most positive stories in the region, with another competitive field producing plenty of quality performances.

Kacey Ayres Wins South West Women's Regional Final

At Stratford Social Club in Salisbury, Kacey Ayres captured the WADC South West Regional Final title.

Ayres defeated Linzi Holton 4-1 in the final and finished the day with six victories.

The event also saw strong performances from Lexi Ayres, Joey Hooke and Claire Spencer as the women's game continues to grow throughout the region.

Phil Woodall Claims Portishead Success

Portishead Workmens Darts hosted another successful Sunday event, with Phil Woodall defeating Jacob Huxtable 4-0 in the final.

Woodall recorded seven victories during the competition and also produced the highest average of the tournament.

John Maggs was among the standout performers, reaching the latter stages and posting two of the day's highest averages.

Women's Series Story Continues

Away from the South West scene, the Women's Series weekend concluded with Lisa Ashton winning Event 15 and Eleanor Cairns claiming Event 16.

Those results completed qualification for the Women's World Matchplay and provided another reminder of the growing strength and depth in the women's game.

Ashton Brown Wins At Hangar 61

One of the strongest events of the evening took place at Hangar 61, where Ashton Brown emerged victorious after defeating Steve Long 3-2 in a high-quality final.

Brown topped the win charts with eight victories and continued his excellent run of form.

Luke Durham Claims DartAsylum Title

At DartAsylum HQ, Luke Durham lifted the Thursday Night Round Robin title with a 3-0 victory over Nick Chichester in the final.

Durham finished the evening with eight wins and was one of the standout performers of the night.

Shaun Vernall Produces The Performance Of The Day

The highest average recorded in the database came from Shaun Vernall during the John Raphael Memorial Cup.

Vernall fired in a superb 120.24 average on his way to lifting the title after defeating Mitchell Leeming 5-4 in a thrilling final.

Mike Harper Wins In Yeovil

Mike Harper added another title to his collection with victory in the Labour Vault Break at Yeovil Labour Club.

Harper recorded seven wins during the event and defeated Kevin Dalwood 3-0 in the final.

Cody Kibble Leads Gloucester JDC

At JDC Volts Gloucester, Cody Kibble took the title after overcoming Mitchell Atkins 3-2 in the final.

Mitchell Atkins produced one of the highest averages of the event, but Kibble held his nerve to secure the trophy.

South And South West Darts Round-Up: Radford Claims Rise Up Vault Finals Glory (14th June 2026)

Sunday produced another busy day of grassroots darts action across the South and South West, with regional finals, junior competitions and local opens all contributing to a packed schedule.

Radford Wins South West Rise Up Regional Finals

The biggest event of the day was undoubtedly the ADC South West Vault 17.0 LEVEL UP RISE Regional Finals at the Sartan Club.

A strong field gathered to battle for the title, with Ellis Radford emerging victorious after a 4-2 final win over Rich Griffee. Both players enjoyed excellent campaigns throughout the day, with Griffee and Radford each recording seven victories.

The standard was impressive throughout. Jake Tucker produced the highest average of the tournament with 90.55, while Rich Griffee posted 86.82 and Matty Rogers fired in 85.08. Steve Boundy and Ellis Radford also featured among the day's leading performers.

Junior Talent Shines At Hangar 61

At Hangar 61 in Patchway, the latest JDC VOLTS event showcased some of the region's most promising young talent.

Jacob Godber lifted the title with a 3-0 victory over Robbe Van der Steen in the final. Van der Steen produced the highest average of the day at 88.41, while Eelyas Van Bruyssel and Josh Latham also impressed during the event.

The competition once again highlighted the strength of youth darts in the South West and the importance of events such as these in developing future stars.

Boundy Triumphs In Round Robin Action

Steve Boundy added another title to his growing collection by winning the 16-man Open Round Robin.

Boundy defeated Jamie McKinnon in the final after both players enjoyed outstanding days. McKinnon recorded a superb 100.20 average, while Boundy matched that figure with a century average of his own.

John Maggs and Warren Ryan were also among the standout performers.

Vernall Produces Huge Numbers

Elsewhere, Shaun Vernall claimed victory in The Wahey KO with a dramatic 6-5 final win over Darrel Williams.

Vernall also recorded one of the performances of the day, producing a superb 98.40 average on his way to the title.

South & South West Darts Round-Up – 11 June 2026

A busy Thursday night across the South and South West produced quality performances across open, under-average and youth competitions.

The standout performance came at Faringdon Town Football Club, where Josh McCarthy lifted the In Between Cash Competition title. McCarthy defeated Mac Goves in the final and produced a stunning 101.54 average during the evening. Johnny Haines also impressed with averages of 93.41 and 88.41 during his run to the latter stages.

At DartAsylum HQ, Liam Moore emerged victorious in the Thursday Night Round Robin after defeating Tommy Sperring 3-2 in the final. The event was fiercely competitive throughout, with Liam Moore, Tommy Sperring and Sean White all recording seven wins.

Hangar 61 delivered another strong field, with Martyn Freeman defeating Matt Jackson 3-1 in the final. Jackson recorded the highest average of the night at 88.41, while both players reached the final after impressive runs through the round robin phase.

In youth darts, Rory Pearce secured victory at the JDC VOLTS event in Gloucester, defeating Tyler Meason in the final. Pearce produced four of the top five averages in the competition and continued his excellent recent form.

The under-average scene was represented by Kyle Matthews, who claimed the Thursday Night Under 55 title at Highridge United Football Club after defeating Josh Rose in the final.
