Yesterday's Results Round-Up – Saturday 18 July 2026 (South and South West)

Saturday delivered another busy day of grassroots darts, with more than 30 tournaments added to the Q4QS database. Across the South West there were plenty of familiar faces collecting silverware, while several players continued the excellent form they've shown throughout the summer.

Warren Ryan Wins Birthday Bash Thriller

One of the standout events came at DartAsylum HQ, where the Browns Bar Birthday Bash lived up to its name with a dramatic final.

Warren Ryan edged past Colin Clarke 5-4 to lift the title after one of the closest finals of the weekend. Colin may have fallen just short, but his three 80+ averages showed just how high the standard was throughout the evening.

Steve Boundy and Liam Moore also enjoyed excellent runs, underlining the strength of the field.

Dorchester Pairs Produce Quality

The DTC July Pairs Open at Dorchester Trinity Club produced some outstanding darts.

Matt Yarrow & Robbie Martin lifted the title after defeating Matt Read & Dan Perry 6-2 in the final. Their best average of 97.13 was among the highest recorded anywhere in the South West on Saturday, while Andy Steed & Paul Millford also impressed with a superb 92.02 average during their run.

James Chudleigh Comes Through in Indian Queens

A huge field assembled for the Indian Queens Non County Competition, making James Chudleigh's victory all the more impressive.

James came through a demanding day of darts to defeat Andrew Daniell in the final, while Kev Dunstan caught the eye with the highest average of the tournament at 93.94. It was another reminder of the strength in depth on the Cornish circuit.

Robbie Long Adds Another Title

After reaching Friday night's Hangar 61 final, Robbie Long wasted little time getting back to winning ways.

He claimed the Saturday Night Money In Money Out Knockout title after overcoming Bobby Vickors in the final. Another deep run, followed by another trophy, continues an excellent spell of form for one of the region's most consistent performers.

Ross Godfrey Impresses in Devon

The Galaxy July Open saw Ross Godfrey produce one of the standout individual displays of the day.

His 98.56 average was comfortably the highest of the tournament as he defeated David Dodds in the final, finishing an excellent day's work in style.

Street Delivers Another Busy Evening

Street Darts Organisation hosted another double-header.

Jack Western claimed the Week 5 Open title, while Kevin Marlow came through to win the Week 5 Under-50 competition, ensuring another successful evening for one of the South West's busiest local venues.

Performance of the Day

Saturday produced plenty of quality darts, but the story of the day was perhaps Robbie Long. After finishing runner-up on Friday evening, he bounced back immediately to collect Saturday night's title.

Elsewhere, Matt Yarrow & Robbie Martin impressed in the pairs, James Chudleigh negotiated one of the largest fields of the day in Indian Queens, and Ross Godfrey's near-ton average was one of the standout performances across the South West.

Yesterday's Results Round-Up – Friday 17 July 2026

 

Friday nights rarely disappoint on the grassroots circuit, and this week was no exception. Several familiar names were back in the winner's circle, while a handful of outstanding performances stole the headlines across the South West.

Joe Bagguley Ends Shaun Vernall's Charge

The biggest story of the evening came at Vault 18.0 @ Saintbridge Sports Club, Gloucester.

Ahead of the tournament, Shaun Vernall looked the man to beat after another excellent run of form. He certainly lived up to the billing early on, producing a magnificent 107.36 average before reaching the latter stages.

But it was Joe Bagguley who had the final say.

After firing successive 103.66, 100.20 and 93.94 averages, Joe defeated Andy Hammond in the final to lift the title, capping one of the finest performances of the evening. It was a statement victory against one of the strongest Friday night fields of recent weeks.

Andy Steed Continues His Excellent Summer

Over in Taunton, Andy Steed added another Vault title to an already impressive season.

He defeated Steven Rees in the final and once again showed why he remains one of the most consistent performers in the region, producing a best average of 91.65 during another successful evening.

With another trophy added to the cabinet, Andy's excellent run of form continues.

Jamie Kay Dominates in Bodmin

At St Breward AFC & Social Club, Jamie Kay enjoyed one of the performances of the night.

His route to the title included four averages above 93, finishing with a commanding victory over Joshua Meneer in the final. That level of consistency made him one of Friday's standout champions.

Robbie Roy Wins in Yeovil

The Friday Vault at Bullets Sports Bar, Yeovil produced another competitive evening.

Robbie Roy lifted the title after defeating Daren Field in the final, while Jim Chappell's 93.94 average and Adam Kingsnorth's 95.00 showed just how competitive the standard was throughout the night.

Liam Blakeley Comes Through in Dorchester

The Dorchester Vault may have been one of the smaller fields of the evening, but it still produced quality darts.

Liam Blakeley defeated Matt Yarrow in the final, although Matt recorded the highest average of the event with 93.94, underlining just how closely contested the tournament proved to be.

Logun Godbeer Adds Another Title

The Worle Summer Open saw another impressive performance from one of the area's brightest young talents.

Logun Godbeer defeated Adrian Wood in the final after another excellent evening. Adrian produced the highest average of the tournament at 92.02, but Logun once again found a way to get over the finishing line and collect another title.

Performance of the Day

There were several outstanding displays across Friday's action, but Joe Bagguley's performance at Saintbridge stands out.

Not only did he produce three ton-plus averages, but he also negotiated one of the toughest fields of the evening to claim the title. Meanwhile, Shaun Vernall's superb 107.36 average served as another reminder of the incredible standard currently being produced on the South West circuit.

Yesterday's Results Round-Up – Thursday 16 July 2026

 

Thursday night was another busy one for the grassroots game, with 46 tournaments added to the Q4QS database. Across the South West there were plenty of familiar names collecting titles, while several players produced outstanding performances on another action-packed evening.

Josh McCarthy Continues His Winning Form

One of the standout stories came at The Carlton Club, Stroud, where Josh McCarthy added yet another Vault 18 title to his growing collection.

Josh defeated Paul Meyer in a closely fought final and once again showed why he remains one of the form players in the region. Averaging over 91 in the final, he continued the consistency that has made him one of the toughest opponents on the South West circuit.

Andy Steed Back on Top

At the rearranged Vault 18 at Stalbridge RBL, Andy Steed claimed another title after defeating Callum Harrison in the final.

Andy produced a superb 92.02 average during the evening and once again demonstrated the quality that has kept him among the leading performers in the Q4QS rankings throughout 2026.

Henry Cooper Triumphs in Yeovil

The Yeovil Labour Club hosted another competitive Vault 18, with Henry Cooper lifting the trophy after overcoming Steve Donohue.

Henry impressed throughout the evening, producing multiple 90+ averages and finishing strongly to secure another excellent title.

Robbie Long Returns to Winning Ways

The weekly Hangar 61 Thursday Night Round Robin once again delivered a highly competitive field.

Robbie Long defeated Martyn Freeman in the final after both players enjoyed excellent evenings. Martyn recorded the night's highest average at 93.94, while Robbie responded with an 88.06 average in the final to seal the title.

Miles O'Toole and Mark Jennings also enjoyed strong runs to the latter stages.

Jamie Shovelton Wins at DartAsylum

Another quality field assembled for the Thursday Night Round Robin at DartAsylum HQ.

Jamie Shovelton emerged victorious after beating Ashton Brown in the final. Although Ashton narrowly missed out on the title, he produced some of the best darts of the evening, recording three averages above 91 during another impressive run.

Morgan Fowler Keeps Momentum Going

Morgan Fowler continued his recent excellent form by winning the Purton Red House Under 70 Round Robin.

His victory over Dillon Moran in the final was built on another consistent night's scoring, while Dave Legg posted the event's highest average with an impressive 91.09.

Performance of the Day

There were several outstanding performances across Thursday's tournaments, but Andy Steed, Josh McCarthy and Henry Cooper all continued their excellent recent form with another title.

Martyn Freeman's 93.94 average at Hangar 61 and Ashton Brown's scoring display at DartAsylum also deserve special mention despite both falling just short in their respective finals.

Who Can Stop Them? South West's Hottest Winning Streaks

Winning one or two matches is always satisfying, but putting together ten consecutive victories is something altogether different.

As part of the Q4QS rankings, I thought I'd take a look at the players within a 50-mile radius of Bath who currently boast a perfect 10 wins and 0 defeats in their last ten matches. To qualify, players must have competed in at least six events, ensuring the list rewards sustained form rather than one exceptional evening.

At the top of the list is Lee Evans, whose recent form has been nothing short of outstanding. Ten straight victories have helped him maintain an excellent standard, and he heads into his next event as one of the region's form players.

Just behind him is Robbie Martin, another player who has been quietly putting together a superb run. Consistency has been the key, and ten wins on the bounce is never easy regardless of the opposition.

The list also includes several familiar names from the South West darts scene. Kieran Smith, Dean Brown, Liam Cook, Andy Steed, David Farmer, Danny Humphries and C-Jay Pipe have all reached double figures without tasting defeat in their last ten matches.

Some of these players have achieved their runs over dozens, or even hundreds, of matches played this season, making the achievement even more impressive.

Tuesday brought another packed evening of grassroots darts, with more than 40 tournaments added to the Q4QS database. Across the South West there were plenty of familiar names lifting trophies, some standout averages and another night of quality competition.

Neil Meneer Continues Winning Ways

Neil Meneer was back in the winner's enclosure at Vault 18.0 at Indian Queens WMC & Institute.

Neil defeated Jason Truscott in the final and produced one of the performances of the evening with a superb 102.48 average. It is another excellent result for one of the South West's most consistent performers, who continues to collect titles throughout 2026.

Darren Davies Wins in Portishead

A competitive field gathered for the Last Minute Open in Portishead, where Darren Davies claimed the title with a convincing victory over Luke Harding in the final.

Darren also recorded the highest average of the night at 91.09, while Steve Boundy and Luke Harding both impressed during strong runs to the latter stages.

Richie Hunt Claims Tuesday Night Title

The Tuesday Night Sub-70 Average Round Robin produced another entertaining evening.

Richie Hunt edged out Liam Moore in a close 3-2 final, while Liam produced the highest average of the event at 81.20. Dan Cornes, Teddy Sheppard and Collis Palmer were also among the players enjoying productive evenings.

Chard Delivers More Quality

At Vault 18.0 in Chard, Daren Field lifted the trophy after defeating Kieran Spurdle in the final.

Although he narrowly missed out on the title, Darren Herbert produced several excellent performances, including a 92.02 average, while Leighton Cox also impressed with a best of 96.97 during the evening.

Luke Reed Triumphs in Tiverton

The Tiverton Vault saw Luke Reed emerge victorious after overcoming Martin Walker in the final.

David Yeaman, James Head, Neil Ridd and Andy Steed were all among the players enjoying strong evenings as another competitive Devon event was added to the books.

Henry Cooper Wins Rearranged Event

The rearranged Kings Arms Vault saw Henry Cooper produce a dominant display, defeating Tommy Brooks in the final.

Henry fired two 93.94 averages during his successful run and rounded off an impressive night's work with eight match victories.

Charlie Mossman Leads the Next Generation

The JDC circuit continued to showcase some exciting young talent.

Charlie Mossman claimed victory in Minehead after edging Kyle Chivers in a close final, while another busy evening of junior darts highlighted the strength of the next generation across the region.

Performance of the Day

While there were several outstanding displays across the country, Neil Meneer's brilliant 102.48 average and another tournament victory stands out from a South West perspective. Darren Davies, Richie Hunt, Henry Cooper and Daren Field also enjoyed memorable evenings as another busy night of grassroots darts came to a close.

Monday night saw another busy evening across the grassroots darts scene, with more than 30 tournaments added to the Q4QS database. As always, I'm concentrating mainly on the South West, where there were plenty of familiar names collecting titles and producing impressive performances.

Josh McCarthy Continues His Fine Form

The standout performance came at Vault 18.0 @ North Star Club, Calne, where Josh McCarthy continued his excellent run of form.

Josh defeated Mitch McCarthy in the final to collect another Vault title, producing the day's highest average at the venue with a superb 91.34 average during his semi-final victory over Cori Wiltshire.

Mitch McCarthy continued his own excellent spell by reaching another final, while Cori Wiltshire impressed with a 91.09 average of his own and Michael Davies also fired in an excellent 87.57 average.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to look beyond Josh whenever he enters a local Vault event.

Andy Steed Back in the Winner's Circle

Over in Paignton, Andy Steed claimed the title after overcoming Charlie Wiles in the final.

Andy produced one of the performances of the day with a 93.94 average and once again demonstrated why he remains one of the strongest players in the South West. Charlie Wiles also enjoyed an excellent evening to reach the final, while Richie Blaynee and Leigh Bowman both posted averages above 85.

Kian Gover Triumphs in Barnstaple

The Barnstaple Vault produced another competitive field with Kian Gover lifting the trophy after defeating Zac Sanders in the final.

David Yeaman recorded the highest average of the night with an excellent 91.09, while Zac Sanders won eight matches during the evening before narrowly missing out on the title.

Martin Haines Wins in Salisbury

The Stratford Social Club in Salisbury produced another quality Monday night tournament.

Martin Haines edged past Stephen Lawrence in a close final, while Ashley Melvin was arguably the standout scorer on the night with several averages over 80, including a best of 90.51.

David Farmer Takes Minehead Honours

Minehead's Vault also produced some excellent darts as David Farmer lifted the title with victory over Jack Walker.

Taylor Foster posted the highest average of the evening at 96.97 before Farmer eventually took the tournament with several excellent displays of his own.

Junior Darts Continues to Flourish

It was another encouraging night for the JDC.

• Logun Godbeer won at Highbridge after beating Tai Anderson in the final.
• Zachary Petty claimed victory in Salisbury.
• Kian Hopkins came out on top in Milton Keynes.

The standard being produced by the next generation continues to impress, with Logun Godbeer and Zachary Petty both recording excellent 85.89 averages.

Monday Round Robin

At Clandown, Darren Cox enjoyed an excellent evening to defeat Garreth Peat in the final. Darren produced an 85.89 average during his successful run and finished the night with seven victories.

Performance of the Day

Although there were several outstanding performances across the country, Josh McCarthy once again strengthened his position as one of the form players in the South West with another Vault title, while Andy Steed's return to winning ways in Paignton was another notable result.

Sunday 12 July Results Round-Up – Jack Seymour, Shaun Vernall and C-Jay Pipe Among South West Winners

 

Sunday brought another packed day of grassroots darts across the South West, with ADC Vault events, junior competitions and local opens producing another excellent day's action. Several familiar names continued their strong recent form, while a number of players produced eye-catching performances as the race towards the regional finals gathered pace.

Jack Seymour Tops The Ton In Eastleigh

One of the standout performances of the day came at Eastleigh WMC, where Jack Seymour claimed the title in emphatic fashion.

Seymour fired a superb 103.66 average, the highest recorded average across the South West on Sunday, as he continued his impressive spell of form. Dan Rosher also enjoyed an excellent run to the final in another high-quality Hampshire event.

Shaun Vernall Adds Another Gloucester Title

At Matson Rugby Club in Gloucester, Shaun Vernall continued his excellent season by lifting another title.

Vernall overcame another competitive Gloucestershire field, with Mitch McCarthy once again showing consistency by reaching the latter stages. Chris Rose also featured among the leading averages as Gloucester produced another strong standard.

C-Jay Pipe Continues Winning Run

The action in Taunton saw C-Jay Pipe collect another title after an excellent day's darts.

Paul Gardiner reached the final, while Martin Walker produced one of the performances of the day with a 100.20 average, underlining the quality on display throughout the tournament.

Sean Taylor Wins In Plymouth

Another competitive field gathered at Legends Lounge, Plymouth, where Sean Taylor claimed victory.

Darren Pearce continued his excellent recent form by reaching the final, while Dave Lee and Oliver Wells also enjoyed productive afternoons in Devon.

Ricky King Continues Fine Dorset Form

Over in Swanage, Ricky King added another title to his growing collection.

King produced a best average of 93.94 during another excellent display, maintaining the consistency that has made him one of Dorset's form players over recent weeks.

The latest event at The Nags Head Inn, Cinderford produced another competitive Gloucestershire field.

Mark Wellington emerged victorious after another strong day's darts, with Shaun Vernall and Taylor Morgan also impressing during the competition.

Saturday 11 July Results Round-Up – Johnny Haines Lands Widden Open Glory

 

Saturday delivered another excellent day of grassroots darts across the South West, with open competitions, local tournaments and ADC events producing another packed programme of quality action.

From Gloucester and Street to Shaftesbury, Taunton and Somerset, several familiar names were once again among the winners, with some outstanding individual performances throughout the day.

Johnny Haines Wins Prestigious Widden Open

The headline performance came at the Widden Open, where Johnny Haines produced another outstanding display to lift one of the biggest local titles of the weekend.

Haines fired a superb 97.60 average during the competition before completing a dominant day's work. Shaun Vernall also impressed throughout the event, recording averages in the mid-80s as another strong Gloucestershire field produced an excellent standard.

Steve Boundy Claims Thatchers Fusion Round Robin

The latest Thatchers Fusion Round Robin Special once again attracted a strong field.

Steve Boundy came through to take the title after another consistent day's darts. Leon Taylor posted the highest average of the event with 91.09, while Ryan Oakley and Keith Norris also enjoyed excellent runs.

Dave Fisher Continues Strong Summer

At the Street Darts Organisation Week 4 Open, Dave Fisher added another title to his growing collection.

Fisher topped the averages with 91.09 and continued the excellent form that has seen him become one of Somerset's most consistent performers over recent weeks. Adrian Wood also featured prominently with another strong tournament performance.

Tommy Chinnock Wins Under-50 Event

The Street Darts Organisation Under-50 competition produced another competitive field.

Tommy Chinnock emerged victorious after a consistent afternoon, adding another title to an increasingly impressive season.

Chris Roberts Takes Shaftesbury Monthly

The monthly competition at Shaftesbury Football Club saw Chris Roberts claim the title after an excellent day's darts.

Steve Stone, Grayson "The Grenade" and Ant Dyke all enjoyed strong runs as another competitive Dorset event lived up to expectations.

Friday night brought another busy programme of ADC action across the South West, with packed fields, impressive averages and plenty of familiar names adding more silverware to their growing collections.

From Taunton and Gloucester to Evesham, Bodmin, Sturminster Newton and Yeovil, another excellent evening of grassroots darts produced plenty of quality performances as players continued their push towards the regional finals.

Shaun Vernall Claims Gloucester Honours

One of the standout performances came at Saintbridge Sports Club in Gloucester, where Shaun Vernall lifted another Vault 18 title.

Vernall defeated Will Jackson 3-0 in the final after another composed display. The Gloucestershire ace once again demonstrated why he remains one of the region's most consistent performers, recording the tournament's highest average of 85.89.

Pete Hughes Continues His Fine Form

Another player enjoying an outstanding spell is Pete Hughes, who added another title at The Bengeworth Club, Evesham.

Hughes defeated Darrel Williams 3-0 in the final and produced excellent averages of 97.50 and 91.53 during another superb evening. Mitchell Leeming and Danny Lauby also impressed in another high-quality Evesham field.

C-Jay Pipe Wins Strong Taunton Event

At the Pegasus 68 Club in Taunton, C-Jay Pipe came through a competitive field to defeat Ryan Greenslade 3-0 in the final.

Although Steve Boundy produced the night's highest average at the venue with a superb 100.20, Pipe showed excellent consistency throughout the competition to secure another important Vault victory.

Joshua Meneer Triumphs In Cornwall

The St Breward AFC & Social Club hosted another excellent Cornish Vault.

Joshua Meneer defeated Thomas Evans in the final to continue his impressive run of form, while Mark McGall topped the averages with 88.41 during the evening.

Rob Crocker Lifts Sturminster Title

At Sturminster Football Club, Rob Crocker defeated Steve Stone 3-1 in the final.

Nigel Edwards fired the highest average of the evening with 96.97, but Crocker's consistency proved decisive as he collected another Vault title.

Tom Yates Wins In Yeovil

The Friday night Vault at Bullets Sports Bar saw Tom Yates defeat Tom Pearce 3-1 in the final.

Steven Tavener impressed with the highest average of the night, but Yates held his nerve to claim the title after another competitive evening in Somerset.

One of the standout performances of the night came at Hangar61, Patchway, where Robbie Long claimed the Thursday Night Round Robin title.

Long defeated Lewis Kendall 3-1 in the final, producing a magnificent 107.36 average against Jacob Godber earlier in the evening before following it up with another outstanding 98.02 average against recent Hangar61 champion John Brown.

Josh McCarthy Wins Strong Stroud Vault

A competitive field assembled at The Carlton Club, Stroud, where Josh McCarthy edged Cori Wiltshire 3-2 in an excellent final.

McCarthy produced one of the performances of the evening with a superb 105.86 average, while Cori Wiltshire continued his excellent recent form with averages of 95.49 and 89.25. Lee Andrews also featured among the leading performers in another high-quality Gloucestershire event.

Liam Blakeley Stuns Henry Cooper

At Yeovil Labour Club, Liam Blakeley produced arguably the performance of the South West evening.

Blakeley defeated the in-form Henry Cooper 3-0 in the final, firing a brilliant 107.36 average. Cooper still impressed with averages of 94.57 and 90.93, while Matt Yarrow also topped the century mark with 102.48 earlier in the competition.

Ricky King Continues His Fine Form

Another familiar winner emerged at The Kings Arms, Wallisdown, where Ricky King defeated Jayden Walker 3-1 in the final.

Walker posted the event's highest average of 96.04, but King's consistency across the evening earned him another impressive Vault title.

Scott Lawrey Claims Plymouth Success

The Legends Lounge in Plymouth hosted another competitive Vault event.

Scott Lawrey edged Sean Taylor 3-2 in the final after both players enjoyed excellent evenings, while Darren Pearce and Aiden Stenson also featured among the strongest performers.

Sam Jackson Wins At Faringdon

At Faringdon Football Club, Sam Jackson lifted the title after defeating Mac Goves 3-1 in the final.

Gary Court once again demonstrated his scoring power with the highest average of the evening at 93.94, but Jackson proved the most consistent performer over the course of the tournament.

Another excellent night of grassroots darts showed once again the strength of the South West scene, with several players producing outstanding performances as the race for Vault ranking points continues.

Yesterday's Results – Wednesday 8 July

 

Wednesday evening saw another busy night of grassroots darts across the South West, with ADC Vault 18 events producing plenty of quality performances and several familiar names adding another title to their growing collections.

At The Sartan Club in Bishopsworth, Mervyn Adams produced one of his best performances of recent weeks, edging past Ellis Radford 3-2 in an entertaining final. Radford continued his impressive run of form, while Ryan Palmer, Darren Davies and Connor Davies were all among the players reaching the latter stages. Adrian Wood also fired the highest average of the evening with an excellent 103.66.

Over at Hangar61, Patchway, John Brown enjoyed a superb evening, defeating Cori Wiltshire in the final and producing one of the performances of the night with a magnificent 104.86 average. Robbie Long also impressed during another competitive Bristol event.

There was another strong Gloucestershire event at Magpies Social Club, Stonehouse, where Joshua Lewis lifted the title after defeating Mitch McCarthy in the final. Lewis also produced a 100.20 average during his run and Shaun Vernall once again featured among the strongest performers.

Further south, Andy Steed claimed another ADC Vault title in Exeter, while Henry Cooper continued his excellent season with victory at Stalbridge RBL after overcoming Nigel Edwards in the final. Both players continue to strengthen their credentials as two of the South West's most consistent performers.

Elsewhere, Danny Humphries won in Salisbury, Tom Crocker lifted the title in Christchurch, Kian Gover came out on top in Ilfracombe and Dave Fisher won the Pawlett Pavilion Grand Prix in Somerset after another competitive night of local darts.

The overall standard was once again exceptionally high, with several players breaking the 100-average barrier across the country, while South West events continued to produce competitive fields and plenty of quality performances.

Q4QS Live – Public Beta Now Available

 

After several weeks of development and testing, I'm pleased to announce that Q4QS Live has entered Public Beta.

Q4QS Live is a live grassroots darts results broadcast that follows multiple tournaments simultaneously, bringing completed match results together into one easy-to-follow stream. Rather than switching between individual tournaments, you can keep up with the latest action from venues across the South West and beyond in a single TV-style broadcast.

The project is still in beta, and I'll continue making small improvements based on testing and feedback. My focus is on reliability first, followed by presentation, while keeping the broadcast simple and easy to follow.

If you'd like to see it in action, I'd love for you to drop in, have a watch and let me know what you think. Feedback is always welcome as I continue to develop Q4QS Live into the best grassroots darts results service I can.

South West Results Round-Up – Johnny Haines, Neil Meneer and Pete Hughes Among Tuesday's Winners

 

Tuesday night delivered another packed programme of ADC Vault 18 action across the South West, with strong fields, impressive averages and several familiar names continuing their excellent recent form.

From Faringdon and Evesham to Tiverton, Chard, Portland, Bristol and Cornwall, players battled for valuable Vault points as the race towards the regional finals continues.

Johnny Haines Continues His Excellent Season

One of the standout performances came at Faringdon Football Club, where Johnny Haines claimed another Vault 18 title.

Haines defeated Gary Court 3-1 in the final after another high-quality evening. Both players impressed throughout the event, with Gary Court recording a 96.97 average, while Haines produced excellent averages of 95.12, 92.02 and 85.08 on his way to the title.

Pete Hughes Too Strong In Evesham

At Bretforton Sports Club, Pete Hughes produced one of the performances of the night.

He defeated Callum Weaver 3-0 in the final and fired in superb averages of 96.97, 95.94 and 93.94 during an outstanding tournament.

American professional Danny Lauby also featured among the top averages, underlining the strength of the Evesham event.

Neil Meneer Wins Cornwall Showdown

The Indian Queens Working Men's Club hosted another strong Vault event.

Neil Meneer edged Gareth Griffiths 3-1 in the final after both players produced outstanding darts. Each recorded 96.97 averages, making this one of the highest-quality finals of the evening.

Luke Cottrell Triumphs In Tiverton

The Tiverton Vault attracted another competitive field.

Luke Cottrell came through to defeat Freddie Davey 3-2 in the final, while Andy Steed once again featured among the leading performers with another consistent evening.

Leighton Cox Wins In Chard

At The Choughs Hotel, Leighton Cox lifted the title after defeating Darren Herbert 3-1 in the final.

Leighton also posted the event's highest average of 95.94, rounding off an excellent night's work.

Matthew Reddy Claims Bristol Vault

The Bristol Vault at Bessellscotts saw Matthew Reddy defeat Justin Lobb in the final.

Although it was a smaller field, Reddy completed a perfect evening to take another Vault title and valuable ranking points.

Portland Produces Another Strong Event

At Portland Social Club, Matt Yarrow lifted the title with victory over James Hayes.

Meanwhile, Alfie Yarrow produced several excellent performances during the evening, including a highest average of 91.09.

DartAsylum Round Robin

The weekly DartAsylum HQ Under-70 Round Robin once again produced a competitive evening.

Tommy Sperring defeated James Wintle-McKay 4-2 in the final, while Collis Palmer topped the averages with an impressive 85.89.

Another superb evening highlighted the strength of grassroots darts across the South West, with plenty of quality on show as the ADC Vault season continues to build towards its regional finals.

Bristol & South West's Most Improved Players - A Very Important Ranking

 

Winning tournaments will always grab the headlines, but it isn't the only way to measure progress.

One of my favourite features in the Q4QS rankings is the Improvement Report, which compares a player's last 50 recorded legs against their previous 50 legs. Rather than rewarding a single great night or one tournament victory, it highlights players who are genuinely raising their level over time.

In many ways, I think this tells a bigger story than a simple league table.

Every darts player goes through peaks and troughs. We all have evenings where nothing seems to go right, followed by weeks where everything suddenly clicks. That's completely normal. What matters is how you respond after those difficult spells.

Take Ethan Williams, who currently tops the latest Bristol & South West Improvement Rankings.

His numbers are remarkable. Ethan has increased his average from 47.12 over his previous 50 legs to 65.91 across his latest 50 legs – an improvement of 18.79 points, or almost 40%.

That doesn't necessarily mean Ethan has suddenly become a completely different player overnight. It may simply show someone who has worked through a difficult period, found confidence again, and is now producing the level he is capable of.

That is exactly why I enjoy this report so much.

Behind Ethan are several players who continue to move in the right direction, including Christopher Willcocks, Christopher Staples, Joshua Rees, George Freeman, Natalie Baxter, Benny Watkins and Jamie Davey. Each has shown significant improvement over their most recent performances, proving that consistent development often matters more than one-off results.

Improvement isn't always a straight line

It's important to remember that this isn't a permanent ranking.

Players who appear near the top this month may naturally drop back next month once those improved performances become part of their longer-term average. Equally, players who are currently outside the Top 50 may suddenly climb the list after putting together a few strong tournaments.

That's exactly how improvement works.

Nobody keeps getting better every single week forever. Even the best players experience dips in form. The difference is that they recover.

For me, one of the most encouraging signs is seeing the same names appear in the Improvement Rankings again and again.

If a player can consistently remain inside the Top 50 Improvers, it usually suggests they are steadily developing their game rather than relying on occasional good nights. Those are often the players who quietly climb the Q4QS rankings over the course of a season.

This report isn't designed to replace the main rankings.

Instead, it complements them by answering a different question:

Who's getting better?

Whether you're chasing your first tournament win or trying to break into the top tier of South West darts, improvement is ultimately what matters.

Keep improving, and the results usually follow.

I'll continue updating the Q4QS Improvement Rankings throughout the season, and it'll be fascinating to see who keeps moving upwards as 2026 progresses.

Introducing the 2026 South West Vault Finals Order of Merit

Over the course of 2026 I'm going to be keeping track of a brand-new statistic – the South West Vault Finals Order of Merit.

The idea is simple. Instead of rewarding players for entering lots of tournaments, this table rewards those who consistently perform when it matters most: the knockout stages of the biggest Vault events across the South West.

Every Vault event held during 2026 will contribute towards the table, with players earning points based on how far they progress.

Points System

🏆 Winner – 5 points

🥈 Runner-up – 4 points

🥉 Semi-final – 3 points

Quarter-final – 2 points

Last 16 – 1 point

The aim is to recognise consistency in high-quality competitions. A player who regularly reaches quarter-finals and semi-finals could finish above someone who wins one event but doesn't feature again.

After the opening three Vault events (Vaults 15, 16 and 17), the standings are already taking shape.

One of the early stories is Jamie Kay, who tops the table without winning a Vault. Two semi-final appearances and a quarter-final have rewarded consistency, while Josh McCarthy, Henry Cooper and Ashton Brown have all picked up maximum points by winning a Vault event.

As more Vault competitions take place during the year, I'll continue updating the table to see who really is the standout performer across the South West's premier local events.

It should make for an interesting race throughout the season. 

Monday 6 July Results Round-Up – Andy Steed, Johnny Haines and Rich Griffee Shine

 

Monday night's action produced another packed evening of grassroots darts across the South West, with ADC Vault 18 events once again attracting strong fields and some outstanding performances.

From Paignton, Barnstaple, Calne, Salisbury, Minehead and Didcot to the latest action in Evesham, players continued to produce impressive displays as the summer darts calendar gathers momentum.

Andy Steed Continues His Outstanding Form

Andy Steed's excellent run continued at Vault 18 in Paignton, where he defeated Luke Grantham 3-0 in the final.

Steed recorded a tournament-high 93.94 average on two occasions and never looked far from top gear throughout the evening. His consistency continues to make him one of the form players in the South West.

Johnny Haines Lifts The Didcot Title

Another player enjoying an excellent spell is Johnny Haines, who claimed the Didcot Vault 18 title.

Haines defeated Roger Crook 3-1 in the final after producing several excellent performances, including averages of 96.97 and 93.94. Another impressive evening adds to an already strong season.

Rich Griffee Wins In Calne

One of the strongest fields of the night assembled at the North Star Club, Calne.

Rich Griffee edged Samuel King 3-2 in an entertaining final, while Gary Hiscock produced two of the night's best individual averages with 93.94 and 91.09 before falling in the semi-finals. The quality on show demonstrated once again why the Calne Vault continues to attract some of the region's strongest players.

Kian Gover Takes Barnstaple Honours

In North Devon, Kian Gover lifted the Barnstaple Vault title with a 3-1 victory over Sam Chance.

Neil Ridd posted the highest average of the evening, but Gover's consistency throughout the knockout stages proved decisive as he secured another excellent tournament victory.

Danny Humphries Triumphs In Salisbury

At Stratford Social Club, Danny Humphries came through another competitive field to defeat Shoey Ayres 3-2 in the final.

Humphries topped the averages with a best of 90.18 and continued his recent good form with another impressive Vault title.

Minehead Produces Big Scoring

One of the biggest averages of the South West evening came at The Banckers Draught, Minehead, where David Farmer fired in a superb 107.36 average.

Although he didn't win the tournament, his scoring was one of the standout individual performances of the night, while Jack Walker claimed the title after defeating Taylor Foster in the final.

Evesham Delivers More Quality

The Bengeworth Vault again produced an excellent standard of darts.

Rhys Jackson defeated Pete Hughes in the final, but it was American professional Danny Lauby who grabbed the headlines statistically with a huge 107.36 average during the evening.

Sunday produced another outstanding day of grassroots darts across the South West, with Vault 18 events attracting strong fields and several players continuing their excellent summer form.

From Taunton and Gloucester to Shaftesbury, Cinderford and Evesham, there were impressive performances throughout the day, with some remarkable averages lighting up the Q4QS database.

Andy Steed Continues Outstanding Season

One of the standout performances came at The Queens Arms, Taunton, where Andy Steed claimed another ADC Vault 18 title.

Steed defeated Jack Bellingham 3-0 in the final, producing averages of 93.94 and 92.02 during another commanding display. Jack Bellingham also impressed throughout the day with two 91+ averages as both players underlined their quality.

Ben Dean Wins Strong Gloucester Vault

Another excellent field assembled at Matson Rugby Club in Gloucester.

Ben Dean lifted the title after defeating Dave Legg 3-1 in the final, but one of the biggest stories came from Shaun Vernall, who produced sensational averages of 107.36, 103.66 and 96.97 during the competition.

Although Vernall fell short of the title, his scoring once again demonstrated why he remains one of the region's most dangerous players.

Henry Cooper Maintains Superb Run

Henry Cooper continued his remarkable consistency at Shaftesbury Football Club.

While the final result wasn't available in the exported data, Cooper once again featured among the tournament's leading performers, recording a highest average of 96.97 and finishing among the day's top winners. His excellent run of form shows no sign of slowing down.

Pete Hughes Fires In Redditch

Pete Hughes produced one of the performances of the day at Abbeydale Social Club.

He defeated Tom Garfield 3-0 in the final while recording a magnificent 118.66 average, one of the highest seen anywhere in the Q4QS database this season. It was an outstanding display from the Redditch player.

Neil Wild Wins High-Quality Evesham Event

The 501 Round Robin Contender Board at Evesham produced some extraordinary scoring.

Neil Wild edged Joe Quiney 4-3 in a superb final, with both players producing incredible averages throughout the tournament.

Joe Quiney topped the averages with 125.25 and 120.05, while Neil Wild responded with 119.55 and 115.71 during one of the highest-quality local competitions of the weekend.

Henry Cooper Continues Remarkable Run

Henry Cooper's outstanding summer continued with another impressive Vault victory.

Competing at the rearranged Stalbridge RBL Vault 18, Cooper defeated Greg Daws 3-1 in the final after another dominant day's work.

His scoring was once again exceptional, producing averages of 96.97, 93.94, 93.94 and 91.09 during the competition. Few players in the South West can match the consistency Cooper is producing at the moment.

Lee Andrews Claims Strong Tewkesbury Vault

One of the strongest local Vaults of the day took place at DD's Snooker & Pool Club, Tewkesbury.

Lee Andrews lifted the title after edging Shaun Vernall 3-2 in an entertaining final.

Vernall continued his superb recent run with another final appearance and produced the highest average of the event at 93.94, while Clive Burgess, Cori Wiltshire and Tyler Meason all enjoyed impressive runs to the latter stages.

Peter Owen Wins Taunton Super League Trophy

The annual Taunton Super League Trophy attracted a strong field and delivered one of the day's biggest competitions.

Peter Owen defeated Richard Frost 5-4 in a closely contested final after both players enjoyed outstanding tournaments.

Joe Smith recorded the highest average of the competition with 89.73, while Jayden Scadden also impressed by reaching the latter stages.

Chris Hartrey Impresses In Bristol

At Bar 501, Chris Hartrey enjoyed an excellent evening.

He defeated Rob Price 4-2 in the final, winning seven matches during the tournament and recording the highest average of the event at 96.97.

Rob Price also produced another strong display to reach the final in one of Bristol's most competitive weekly competitions.

Johnny Haines Among Top Performers

Johnny Haines continued his consistent form at the Reading Vault 18, producing the highest average of the competition with 88.41 during his run.

Although Paul Hogan eventually lifted the title, Haines once again showed the quality that has made him one of the South West's most reliable performers this season.

JDC South West Regional Finals

Congratulations also go to Logun Godbeer, who captured the JDC South West Regional Finals title with a convincing 4-0 victory over Cooper Cornish.

It was another excellent showcase for the region's young talent and highlights the bright future of junior darts in the South West.

Henry Cooper Produces Performance of the Night

Henry Cooper stole the headlines with another outstanding display at the Dorchester Trinity Club.

Cooper lifted the Vault 18 title after defeating Alfie Yarrow 3-0 in the final, but it was his scoring throughout the evening that really caught the eye. He produced a superb 103.66 average, followed by further performances of 98.22, 96.46 and 93.94, underlining just how dominant he was on his way to the title.

Few players in the South West are producing more consistent darts at the moment.

Shaun Vernall Wins Another Gloucester Title

It has been another excellent week for Shaun Vernall.

Fresh from winning at Stonehouse earlier in the week, Vernall added another title by defeating Joe Bagguley 3-2 in a high-quality final at Saintbridge Sports Club.

The final brought together two of the region's most in-form players, and Vernall once again showed why he has become one of the names to beat on the local circuit. He also recorded a superb 100.20 average during the evening.

Joe Bagguley deserves plenty of credit after another excellent run to the final.

Darrel Williams Triumphs In Evesham

Another strong field assembled at The Bengeworth Club.

Darrel Williams claimed the title after defeating Pete Hughes 3-0 in the final.

Williams produced one of the best performances of the night with a 101.17 average, while Pete Hughes continued his consistent form with another final appearance. Graham Hall also impressed by reaching the latter stages.

Jamie Kay Continues Winning Form In Bodmin

Jamie Kay enjoyed another successful evening in Cornwall.

He defeated Freddie Rich 3-0 in the final at St Breward AFC & Social Club, producing two excellent 93.94 averages during the competition.

Neil Meneer also enjoyed a strong tournament, recording the event's highest average of 94.87 despite falling short of the final.

Bailey White Edges Strong Taunton Field

The Pegasus 68 Club once again hosted a competitive South West Vault.

Bailey White came through a close final to defeat Steven Rees 3-2 and claim another Vault title.

Logun Godbeer and Steve Boundy also produced some excellent darts as another strong Taunton field delivered a competitive evening.

Bristol Winner

At Lockleaze Community Club, Dan Raby claimed the Vault 18 title after overcoming Jamie Harvey 3-2 in the final.

Jon Taylor recorded the highest average of the evening, while Dan Raby won six matches to lift the trophy and continue his encouraging recent form.

Other South West Highlights

Andrew Purchase lifted the title in Yeovil, while Dilon Battishill claimed victory in Exeter after defeating Dean Brown in the final.

Tom Crocker also enjoyed success at Sturminster, adding another title to an excellent evening of grassroots darts across the South West.
