South West Results Round-Up – Johnny Haines, Neil Meneer and Pete Hughes Among Tuesday's Winners

 


Tuesday night delivered another packed programme of ADC Vault 18 action across the South West, with strong fields, impressive averages and several familiar names continuing their excellent recent form.

From Faringdon and Evesham to Tiverton, Chard, Portland, Bristol and Cornwall, players battled for valuable Vault points as the race towards the regional finals continues.

Johnny Haines Continues His Excellent Season

One of the standout performances came at Faringdon Football Club, where Johnny Haines claimed another Vault 18 title.

Haines defeated Gary Court 3-1 in the final after another high-quality evening. Both players impressed throughout the event, with Gary Court recording a 96.97 average, while Haines produced excellent averages of 95.12, 92.02 and 85.08 on his way to the title.

Pete Hughes Too Strong In Evesham

At Bretforton Sports Club, Pete Hughes produced one of the performances of the night.

He defeated Callum Weaver 3-0 in the final and fired in superb averages of 96.97, 95.94 and 93.94 during an outstanding tournament.

American professional Danny Lauby also featured among the top averages, underlining the strength of the Evesham event.

Neil Meneer Wins Cornwall Showdown

The Indian Queens Working Men's Club hosted another strong Vault event.

Neil Meneer edged Gareth Griffiths 3-1 in the final after both players produced outstanding darts. Each recorded 96.97 averages, making this one of the highest-quality finals of the evening.

Luke Cottrell Triumphs In Tiverton

The Tiverton Vault attracted another competitive field.

Luke Cottrell came through to defeat Freddie Davey 3-2 in the final, while Andy Steed once again featured among the leading performers with another consistent evening.

Leighton Cox Wins In Chard

At The Choughs Hotel, Leighton Cox lifted the title after defeating Darren Herbert 3-1 in the final.

Leighton also posted the event's highest average of 95.94, rounding off an excellent night's work.

Matthew Reddy Claims Bristol Vault

The Bristol Vault at Bessellscotts saw Matthew Reddy defeat Justin Lobb in the final.

Although it was a smaller field, Reddy completed a perfect evening to take another Vault title and valuable ranking points.

Portland Produces Another Strong Event

At Portland Social Club, Matt Yarrow lifted the title with victory over James Hayes.

Meanwhile, Alfie Yarrow produced several excellent performances during the evening, including a highest average of 91.09.

DartAsylum Round Robin

The weekly DartAsylum HQ Under-70 Round Robin once again produced a competitive evening.

Tommy Sperring defeated James Wintle-McKay 4-2 in the final, while Collis Palmer topped the averages with an impressive 85.89.

South and South West Results Round-Up – Haines, Bristow and Hughes Shine On Busy Vault Night

 


Tuesday night saw another huge programme of ADC Vault 18 action across the country, with several South West venues producing high-quality darts as players continued their push for valuable ranking points.

From Bristol and Chard to Tiverton, Faringdon and Evesham, there was plenty to talk about as some familiar names added more silverware to impressive seasons.

Johnny Haines Produces Class Display In Faringdon

Johnny Haines was one of the standout performers of the evening after lifting the Vault 18 title at Faringdon Town Football Club.

Haines defeated Lee Evans 3-0 in the final and produced a superb 102.80 average during the competition. His consistency throughout the evening earned him eight victories and continued an excellent run of recent form.

Lee Evans also impressed, reaching the final while recording a 100.20 average earlier in the tournament.

Jimmy Bristow Wins Strong Bristol Field

One of the strongest events of the evening took place at the Sartan Club in Bristol.

Jimmy Bristow claimed the title after defeating Ashton Brown 3-1 in the final, backing up the form he has shown over recent weeks.

The standard was exceptionally high, with Ryan Palmer, Ashton Brown and Ellis Radford all producing averages in excess of 93 during the evening, highlighting the depth of quality on show.

Pete Hughes Fires Huge Average In Evesham

Pete Hughes produced arguably the performance of the night.

On his way to victory at Bretforton Sports Club, Hughes fired a magnificent 112.73 average, one of the highest averages recorded anywhere in the country on Tuesday.

He defeated Danny Lauby 3-1 in the final, while Joe Quiney continued his consistent form by recording six victories during the evening.

Luke Reed Edges Thriller In Tiverton

The Vault at Elmore Football Club produced one of the closest finals of the night.

Luke Reed edged past Andy Steed 3-2 after both players enjoyed excellent evenings.

The event also featured superb scoring from James Head, Andy Steed and Tom Head, who all recorded impressive 103.66 averages during the competition.

Other South West Highlights

Leighton Cox claimed the title at Chard after defeating Kieran Spurdle in the final, while Matthew Reddy lifted the Bristol Bessellscotts Vault.

Dave Fisher enjoyed another successful evening by winning the Taunton U70 Super Series after defeating James Wellbelove in the final.

Connor Davies also claimed victory at DartAsylum HQ, overcoming Tommy Sperring to lift the Tuesday Night Sub-70 title.
