Monday brought another busy night of grassroots darts, with 22 tournaments from 24 August added to the Q4QS database.
There was plenty happening across the South West, including JDC VOLTS victories for Logun Godbeer at Highbridge and Joshua Stott at Salisbury, while the 49 Club staged another sizeable Under-65 competition. Elsewhere, Henry Povey, Edward Manley and Gavin Sterio were among several players producing eye-catching averages.
Godbeer takes Highbridge VOLTS title
Logun Godbeer continued his excellent run in the JDC VOLTS Series with victory at Highbridge Social Club.
Godbeer defeated Tai Anderson 3-0 in the final, completing an eight-win tournament. He also produced the highest average of the event, a 79.11, while Anderson recorded 77.08 and finished the day with seven victories.
It was another strong showing from Godbeer after also featuring prominently in Sunday's results.
Stott comes through at Salisbury
There was another South West JDC success at Stratford Social Club in Salisbury, where Joshua Stott took the title.
Stott beat Joel Hughes 3-2 in the final and finished with six victories. His best recorded average was 72.86, while Riley Milligan reached 69.98 and Mason Beaven 68.07.
With Godbeer and Stott both winning, it was another productive night for the region's developing junior players.
Greenslade wins big 49 Club event
One result that deserves plenty of attention came from the 49 Club Under-65 round robin, which generated 99 recorded matches.
Ryan Greenslade eventually emerged as champion, defeating Dave Dawson 4-0 in the final.
Both Greenslade and Dawson recorded eight victories during the tournament, while James Male produced the night's highest average at the venue with 73.92. Brooklyn Anthony also reached 70.86.
With that amount of darts played, it was one of Monday's most substantial local competitions.
Povey produces two ton-plus averages
One of the strongest individual performances came from Henry Povey at the Wolversdene Club.
Povey won the Money In Money Out Round-Robin, beating Jamie Kelling 3-2 in the final, but it was his scoring earlier in the competition that really caught the eye.
He recorded averages of 107.36 and 105.93, before averaging 92.22 in the final. Kelling also impressed, reaching 98.38 during the event.
Manley impresses in Vault Break victory
Edward Manley was another player combining a tournament win with some very big numbers.
Manley won Clive Arms Vault Break 2, beating Liam Forward 3-0 in the final, and recorded a superb 107.36 average during his run.
He also produced a 100.20, while Joshua Russell hit 103.66. Manley finished the competition with six victories.
Sterio stars with 103.66
At the Nantyffyllon Non Political Club, Gavin Sterio won an event featuring 75 recorded matches.
Sterio beat Tristan Perry 3-0 in the final after eight victories across the competition and produced a 103.66 average.
Mike Huntley also enjoyed an impressive night with performances of 95.55 and 93.94, while Sterio added a 93.83.
More Monday winners
There was plenty more happening throughout the night.
Andy Steed won the Monday Night Flyer at 8 Ball Bar & Sports, defeating Nathan Beckett in the final after Beckett had accumulated eight victories. Luke Grantham's 88.41 was the highest recorded average.
Spencer Cree took the Monday night round robin at Bostin Darts 180 Bar, while Freddie Wilson won at The C's Bar & Function Rooms, where Tom Finnegan produced a 96.97 average.
There was also another strong junior performance from Riley Herbert, who won the JDC VOLTS event in Milton Keynes with three victories.
Another strong start to the week
Twenty-two tournaments may be fewer than Sunday's huge programme, but there was no shortage of quality.
The combination of Godbeer and Stott winning JDC titles in the South West, Greenslade coming through a 99-match Under-65 event, and Povey, Manley and Sterio all producing ton-plus averages made it another interesting night to add to the growing Q4QS database.
And with another full week of grassroots action ahead, there should be plenty more to come.
