Q4QS Yesterday's Results South and South West – 22 July 2026

A busy Wednesday night as Vault 18 rolls on

Wednesday nights continue to be one of the busiest evenings on the grassroots darts calendar, with another 56 tournaments added to the Q4QS database covering local leagues, Under-55 competitions, JDC events and the ever-growing Vault 18 circuit.

From a South West perspective there was plenty to catch the eye, with familiar names continuing their excellent recent form alongside several new winners adding valuable ranking points.

Neil Meneer continued his impressive season by taking the Vault 18 event in Bodmin, overcoming Troi Day in the final. Meneer has been one of the most consistent performers in the region throughout 2026 and another title only strengthens his position.

At the Magpies Social Club in Stonehouse, Josh McCarthy claimed another Vault title after defeating Mitch McCarthy in the final. McCarthy also produced the highest average of the evening at the venue, highlighting another strong all-round performance.

There was success in Dorset too, where Dale Mills edged Steve Stone in a deciding leg to win the Stalbridge Vault, while Lee Evans lifted the Salisbury title after overcoming Carlton Hope in the final.

Further south, Sam Chance produced another excellent display to defeat Andy Steed in Ilfracombe, while Sean Penney came through a competitive field at The Kings Arms in Wallisdown.

Outside the Vault circuit, Dave Fisher claimed victory in Week 3 of the Pawlett Pavilion Grand Prix after a closely fought final against David Williams.

The junior game also enjoyed another busy evening. Exeter's JDC VOLTS event was won by Joseph Lauridsen, while Ethan Williams, Oliver Williams, James Prettyjohn and Rhys Evans all collected victories elsewhere around the country.

Highest averages of the day

The standard was exceptionally high across the country with several players breaking the 100 average barrier.

Leading the way was Daniel Astbury, who produced a superb 107.36 average at the Telford Vault. Stuart Dutton (104.86), Shane Turner (103.66), Clayton Ford (103.66), Keenan Thomas (103.66), Bryan Flew (102.48) and Sean Holley (101.11) also enjoyed outstanding performances.

As always, these nightly events continue to demonstrate the strength and depth of grassroots darts across the UK, with established names maintaining their form while new players continue to make their mark. 

Who Can Stop Them? South West's Hottest Winning Streaks

Winning one or two matches is always satisfying, but putting together ten consecutive victories is something altogether different.

As part of the Q4QS rankings, I thought I'd take a look at the players within a 50-mile radius of Bath who currently boast a perfect 10 wins and 0 defeats in their last ten matches. To qualify, players must have competed in at least six events, ensuring the list rewards sustained form rather than one exceptional evening.

At the top of the list is Lee Evans, whose recent form has been nothing short of outstanding. Ten straight victories have helped him maintain an excellent standard, and he heads into his next event as one of the region's form players.

Just behind him is Robbie Martin, another player who has been quietly putting together a superb run. Consistency has been the key, and ten wins on the bounce is never easy regardless of the opposition.

The list also includes several familiar names from the South West darts scene. Kieran Smith, Dean Brown, Liam Cook, Andy Steed, David Farmer, Danny Humphries and C-Jay Pipe have all reached double figures without tasting defeat in their last ten matches.

Some of these players have achieved their runs over dozens, or even hundreds, of matches played this season, making the achievement even more impressive.

MODUS Super Series Week 11 Preview – Can Anybody Stop The Form Players?

The MODUS Super Series rolls into Week 11, bringing together another fascinating mix of experienced professionals, former tour card holders, international representatives and in-form ADC competitors.

As always, the unique MODUS format rewards consistency as much as brilliance. A fast start can be invaluable, but momentum often shifts throughout the week as players become accustomed to the pace and pressure of live streaming.

Several players arrive carrying excellent recent form, while others will be hoping that experience on the big stage can carry them deep into the competition.

Ron Meulenkamp Arrives Full Of Confidence

Dutch ace Ron Meulenkamp heads into the week as one of the standout players.

His recent form has been exceptional, reaching the final of the Swiss Open while averaging over 91, alongside an outstanding 9 wins from his last 10 matches in the Q4QS database. He's producing heavy scoring and looks capable of going all the way if he settles quickly.

Lewis Pride Looking To Build Momentum

Young English talent Lewis Pride continues to impress.

A recent ADC Winmau Championship finalist, Pride has already shown he can compete with established professionals. His 8-2 record over his last ten matches suggests he is arriving full of confidence and could be one of the week's biggest dangers.

Experience Counts

The field also contains several hugely experienced names.

Former World Cup representative Devon Petersen brings years of televised experience and remains one of the game's most entertaining characters.

Former Players Championship winner Kevin Painter needs little introduction and will always be dangerous if he finds his scoring rhythm.

Irish veteran John O'Shea has enjoyed success throughout his long career and knows exactly how to handle pressure situations.

Meanwhile, former Lakeside World Champion Richie Burnett possesses the pedigree to beat anybody on his day, even if recent results haven't quite matched his highest standards.

The Outside Contenders

One of the attractions of the MODUS Super Series is that there is usually room for a surprise package.

Lee Evans arrives after winning a recent Vault 18 title and boasts a superb 9-1 record from his last ten matches, making him an intriguing outsider.

Adrian Gray has quietly pieced together several deep runs recently, including a semi-final appearance and a quarter-final in the ADC Winmau Championship South.

Carl Wilson has shown plenty of scoring power over recent months and could spring one or two surprises if he settles into the format quickly.

Players To Watch

While several former professionals will naturally attract attention, recent form suggests this week's competition could be more open than many expect.

If Ron Meulenkamp and Lewis Pride reproduce the form they've shown over the past month, they look capable of making deep runs, but the experienced campaigners in the field are more than capable of turning the tournament on its head.

With live streaming, short-format matches and daily league tables, another entertaining week of MODUS Super Series darts looks guaranteed.

MODUS Super Series - ADC South West Qualifier Preview (Sat 20th June)

 

Another big opportunity awaits for South West players as the latest MODUS Super Series Qualifier gets underway, with a competitive field featuring proven winners, in-form performers and several players capable of producing a surprise run.

Heading the field is Gareth Griffiths, who arrives in exceptional form. The Cornish thrower has won his last ten matches in the database and recently produced a title-winning average of over 92. With confidence high, he will be one of the names everyone is looking to avoid.

Henry Cooper is another player arriving with serious momentum. Back-to-back title victories and a perfect recent record make him one of the strongest contenders in the draw.

Neil Meneer continues to impress across Cornwall and Devon, while Lee Evans brings a wealth of experience and recent title-winning form. Both have shown they possess the consistency required to navigate a long qualifier.

The chasing pack is packed with dangerous names. Danny Humphries, Shaun Vernall, Rich Griffee, Andy Steed, Kieran Smith, Bailey White and C-Jay Pipe have all produced performances in recent months that suggest they are capable of making a deep run.
