WADC Winmau Tour Championship South Returns – Four More Titles Up for Grabs at Bradmoor Farm

The women's WADC Winmau Tour Championship South returns to Bradmoor Farm this weekend, 8th-9th August, with Events 5-8 taking place and four more titles up for grabs.

And if the opening four events are anything to go by, predicting where those titles will go won't be easy.

The first four South tournaments produced four different winners — Gemma Hayter, Louise Pearson, Deta Hedman and Trina Gulliver — while some of the most consistent performers across the series are still waiting for their first victory.

Add Fallon Sherrock to this weekend's field, together with several players arriving in excellent wider form, and the second half of the South series looks fascinating.

Who Has Performed Best at Bradmoor Farm?

As with the men's preview, I've created a Q4QS performance score based on how far players progressed across the previous South events.

It is important to stress that these are not official WADC ranking points or official standings. The score is simply a Q4QS measure designed to highlight sustained performance across Events 1-4.

PlayerQ4QS South Performance Score
Jo Locke22
Gemma Hayter22
Louise Pearson21
Eve Watson21
Vicky Pruim21
Deta Hedman20
Trina Gulliver18
Rebecca Rose17
Steph Clarke16
Lisa Brosnan16

And there is an immediate story in those numbers.

Jo Locke jointly leads the measure despite not winning an event.

Locke has instead built her score through consistency: a runner-up finish, semi-final, quarter-final and Last 16 across the four tournaments.

Gemma Hayter reaches the same 22 points via a rather different route, including both a title and a runner-up finish.

Is Vicky Pruim the Ultimate Consistency Pick?

There is another name that particularly stands out.

Vicky Pruim has reached at least the quarter-finals in all four South events.

She hasn't yet won one, but a semi-final and three quarter-finals have given her 21 points on the Q4QS measure.

And her wider form makes that record even more interesting.

Pruim has subsequently won WADC Winmau Championship North Event 6, averaging 77.92 across the tournament, and then won the UKDA National Finals. She also reached the Women's World Matchplay quarter-finals.

If there is a player whose previous Bradmoor Farm consistency and wider form combine particularly well, Pruim has an excellent case.

Gemma Hayter Already Has the Bradmoor Formula

Gemma Hayter doesn't need to wonder whether she can win here.

She already has.

One title and one runner-up finish from the opening four events put Hayter alongside Jo Locke at the top of the Q4QS South performance measure.

Her form elsewhere has strengthened considerably too.

Hayter's recent results include winning the WDF World Masters with a 78.04 tournament average and another recent Vault victory at Fareham. Her database form stands at eight wins from her last ten matches.

That combination of previous Bradmoor success and current winning form makes her difficult to overlook.

The Champions Are Back

Hayter isn't the only previous South champion returning.

Deta Hedman has already lifted one of the four titles and arrives with significant recent success elsewhere. Hedman won an England Open event with an 81.36 tournament average, reached the UKDA National Finals final and subsequently made the Women's World Matchplay quarter-finals.

Trina Gulliver is another of the four South winners. Her wider results include a run to a PDC Women's Series final, where she averaged 70.21 across the event before being stopped by Beau Greaves.

Then there is Louise Pearson, whose South title and other solid finishes leave her just one point behind the leaders in the Q4QS performance measure.

Four events.

Four different champions.

There has been no monopoly on winning at Bradmoor Farm so far.

But Now Fallon Sherrock Enters the Equation

And this is where the second set of South events becomes particularly interesting.

Fallon Sherrock heads the Q4QS Six Players to Watch.

Sherrock arrives after reaching the Women's World Matchplay final, averaging 87.93 across the tournament before losing to Beau Greaves. Her run included a 5-1 victory over Lisa Ashton with a 90.55 average and a 5-0 win over Deta Hedman.

The tournament generator gives Sherrock a 73% win rate in its analysed sample and a best recorded average of 102.12.

Previous Championship South results give us plenty of established contenders.

Sherrock gives them another major obstacle.

Q4QS Six Players to Watch

The preview generator analyses the wider Q4QS database rather than simply selecting the six players who have performed best in the previous South events.

That gives us:

1. Fallon Sherrock

The obvious headline name, but also a selection backed by the numbers.

Sherrock's recent Women's World Matchplay final demonstrates her current level, while a best recorded average of 102.12 shows the scoring ceiling available.

If she brings anything approaching her Matchplay form to Bradmoor Farm, she will take some stopping.

2. Vicky Pruim

Perhaps the most compelling combination of course form and current form in the field.

Four Championship South events have brought four quarter-finals or better, and since then Pruim has added Championship North and UKDA National Finals titles.

The generator gives her a 76% win rate and best recorded average of 95.43.

Can she finally turn all that Bradmoor consistency into a South title?

3. Trina Gulliver

Already a winner here and capable of another deep run.

Her Women's Series final provides further evidence that Gulliver remains capable of negotiating big fields, while the generator records a 74% win rate and best average of 92.49.

4. Gemma Hayter

One of the strongest cases of all.

Hayter has already won a South event, jointly leads the Q4QS South performance table and comes into this weekend with an 8-2 last-ten record.

Her generator numbers are equally impressive: an 82% win rate and best recorded average of 98.02.

There isn't much missing from that profile.

5. Deta Hedman

Another previous South winner with significant recent form.

The generator gives Hedman an 82% win rate, while her recent England Open success demonstrates that she continues to collect titles.

Her experience in long tournament days hardly needs explaining either.

6. Steph Clarke

Steph Clarke completes the six — and could be one of the particularly interesting selections.

She has already reached a South final this year, but her subsequent form includes winning WADC Championship North Event 8 and reaching a WDF World Masters semi-final.

Her last-ten database record is 8-2, while the generator identifies a 78% win rate and a best recorded average of 96.97.

And Don't Forget the Players Outside the Six

As ever, Six to Follow doesn't mean six possible winners.

Jo Locke hasn't made the graphic despite jointly leading the Q4QS South performance measure. She has also reached a PDC Women's Series quarter-final and carries a 7-3 recent record in the database.

Eve Watson is only a point behind the leaders in the South measure and has been winning WADC Vault events, including one with an 82.37 tournament average.

Rebecca Rose could be a particularly interesting outsider. She sits eighth in the South performance measure but comes into the weekend having won nine of her last ten recorded matches, with a string of recent Vault victories.

That depth is why four titles across two days could produce almost any combination of winners.

Four Events Could Change Everything

There is one final reason this weekend is particularly significant.

We have played four South events.

We're about to play another four in a single weekend.

Everything we've learned from the opening half of the series could therefore look very different by Sunday night.

Can Jo Locke turn consistency into her first South title?

Can Vicky Pruim maintain her extraordinary record of reaching at least the quarter-finals every time?

Will Gemma Hayter, Deta Hedman or Trina Gulliver become the first two-time South champion of 2026?

What happens when Fallon Sherrock is added to the equation?

And can Steph Clarke carry her Championship North form into the South?

The first four tournaments established the contenders.

Events 5-8 could completely reshape the picture.
