Yesterday's Darts Results: Connor Hopkins Hits 125.25, Ash McKeever Records 120.24 and Pete Hughes Wins in Evesham – 20 October 2026

Tuesday was a particularly busy day for grassroots darts, with another 96 tournaments added to the Q4QS Database.

And there were some exceptional averages.

Connor Hopkins recorded a remarkable 125.25 in South Wales, Ash McKeever produced 120.24 in Faringdon, and Liam Parish matched that figure in South Wigston. Meanwhile, Scott Mc registered 115.62 in Swindon.

Closer to home, Pete Hughes won at Bretforton Sports Club in Evesham, Steve Boundy took the title in Portishead, Ryan Palmer won in Gloucester and Brooklyn Anthony came through a close final in Taunton.

There were also eight WADC Vault competitions and a substantial programme of junior darts.

For me, the most interesting aspect of Tuesday wasn't simply the number of tournaments. It was the number of players producing three-figure averages, often backed up by several other strong performances.

Connor Hopkins produces the highest average of the day

At Lindsay Constitutional Club in Cefn Hengoed, Connor Hopkins produced the standout individual average of Tuesday's results.

Hopkins recorded an extraordinary 125.25 against Ryan Davies, who himself averaged 113.14 in that match.

Davies also recorded 115.62 against Lyn Jones, giving the competition three of the highest averages of the entire day.

Hopkins went on to defeat Harry Morris 3–0 in the final, completing seven victories. Morris also won seven matches, while Dewi Beynon collected six.

Hopkins added a 96.97 against Lyn Jones to his performances.

It's worth remembering that these are individual match averages rather than averages across an entire tournament. Even so, 125.25 is an exceptional figure, and the quality of darts in Cefn Hengoed deserves particular recognition.

Ash McKeever hits 120.24 in Faringdon

Another outstanding performance came at Faringdon Town Football Club.

Ash McKeever produced a 120.24 average against Luke Cox, followed by 93.94 against Michael Temple and two separate averages of 91.09.

Interestingly, it was Cox who ultimately took the title, defeating McKeever 3–1 in the final.

Both finalists finished with seven victories, while Dillon Moran collected six.

That's one of the things I find interesting about these results. McKeever produced the highest individual average at the venue, but Cox was the player who came through when the title was decided.

Liam Parish matches 120.24 in South Wigston

At the Cue Club in South Wigston, Liam Parish also recorded 120.24, against Chris Wilson.

It meant that Tuesday produced two separate averages above 120, alongside Hopkins' 125.25.

The tournament itself was won by Steve Haggerty, who defeated Ben Flanagan-McClelland 3–2 in the final.

It's another reminder that the best individual average and the eventual tournament winner aren't necessarily the same player.

Pete Hughes wins at Bretforton Sports Club

There was an excellent evening of darts at Bretforton Sports Club in Evesham.

Pete Hughes defeated Vince Tipple 3–1 in the final, finishing with eight victories.

Both finalists produced 100.20 averages during the competition.

Hughes recorded his against Paul Jones, while Tipple achieved his against Kyle Jones.

Hughes also produced 98.02 against Shaun Vernall and 93.94 against Matt Metrovich.

Tipple finished with seven victories, Dave Honey collected six and Colin Day won five matches.

After Tipple's victory at Bengeworth Club on Monday, it was interesting to see him reach another final the following evening.

This time Hughes came out on top, and with eight victories and several strong averages, he was a deserving winner.

Steve Boundy takes the Portishead title

At Portishead Workmen's Darts, Steve Boundy defeated Logun Godbeer 3–1 in the Tuesday Open final.

Boundy completed eight victories, while Godbeer finished with seven.

The highest average of the evening came from Godbeer, who recorded 96.97 against Max Maggs, followed by 91.09 against Josh Rose.

Boundy wasn't far behind, producing 93.94 against Chris Parry and 88.41 against Maggs.

Josh Rose finished with five victories, while Anthony Chadwick and Maggs collected four apiece.

This was a particularly competitive evening, with both finalists producing good darts throughout the tournament.

Ryan Palmer wins in Gloucester

At Widden Rugby Club in Gloucester, Ryan Palmer defeated Alfie Palmer 3–2 in the final.

The competition's highest recorded average came from Joe Bagguley, who produced 93.94 against Josh Taylor.

The final was a close one, but Ryan Palmer did enough to take the title.

It's good to see another regular Gloucester venue contributing to the daily results.

Jack Walker wins at Bessellscotts in Bristol

Jack Walker took the Vault title at Bessellscotts in Bristol, defeating Tim Thorne 3–0 in the final.

Both players finished with six victories.

Walker produced the highest average of the competition, 81.98 in the final, while Thorne recorded 79.53 in defeat.

Walker also produced averages of 79.11, 78.26 and 77.08.

It was a particularly consistent evening from Walker, and another Bristol result worth highlighting.

Brooklyn Anthony wins a close Taunton final

At Darts @ The Lawns in Taunton, the Under-70 Round Robin Super Series produced a very close final.

Brooklyn Anthony defeated Ryan Greenslade 7–6 in the Top 12 competition.

Anthony recorded the highest average of the event, 80.43 against Scott Smith, along with 72.21 against Robin Stutt-Hannaford.

Greenslade produced 76.15 against Mike James and 72.23 against James Wellbelove.

The Bottom 12 competition was won by Tim Milton, who defeated Alan Forrest 5–4 in another close final.

Two competitive finals, and another successful evening for the Taunton series.

WADC: Leanne Topper hits 88.41 as eight women's competitions take place

There were eight WADC Vault 3.0 competitions in Tuesday's results, with events taking place across Wales, England and the South West.

The highest recorded WADC average came from Leanne Topper at Cross Foxes in Prestatyn.

Topper produced 88.41 against Wendy McCaffrey and went on to defeat Sharon Jones 3–1 in the final.

That was an excellent performance and one of the strongest averages across Tuesday's women's competitions.

At Wiltshire Darts House in Swindon, Dani Kearns defeated Chris Savvery 3–1, recording an impressive 81.24 against Cat Mackie.

Lynsey Childs also performed well at Trebles Darts in North Walsham, defeating Gemma Reynolds 3–0 in the final with a 75.15 average.

Closer to the South West, Louise Davies won at Shooters Bar in Leominster, defeating Shelly Mulliner 3–1.

Tuesday's WADC winners were:

Jenny Levett also recorded 62.63 in Lancing, despite finishing as runner-up.

I think these competitions deserve their place in the daily roundup. Eight events in one evening is encouraging, and performances such as Topper's 88.41 and Kearns' 81.24 show that there's plenty of quality within the WADC programme.

Junior darts: 14 Junior Volts competitions

Tuesday was also a busy evening for the Junior Darts Corporation, with 14 Junior Volts competitions in the report.

Max Wright records 96.97 in Sheffield

The highest recorded Junior Volts average came from Max Wright at Sheffield Junior Darts Academy.

Wright produced 96.97 against Rwais Barwais, while Barwais himself recorded 85.89 against Hayden Bacon.

The tournament was won by Alfie Revill, who defeated Bailey the Blade 3–1 in the final and finished with seven victories.

Rhys Evans impresses in Resolven

At Arrows in Resolven, Rhys Evans defeated Logan Ford 3–1 in the final.

Evans finished with six victories and produced an excellent 93.94 average against Will Murphy.

Jack Powell recorded 81.24, while Kenzie Watkins produced 78.06.

Jenson Macey wins in Gosport

At DiceHeads in Gosport, Jenson Macey defeated Freddie Rowlands 3–0 in the final.

Both players finished with eight victories.

Rowlands recorded the competition's highest average of 85.89, while Macey produced 83.50, 80.52 and 77.74 among his leading performances.

That's a particularly good sequence of averages from the eventual winner.

There were also good performances from Joel Walton, who recorded 83.50 in Cannock, Noah Daly with 81.46 in Oldham and Tyler Shuck with 80.52 in Halesowen.

With so many junior competitions now appearing in the daily results, we're beginning to get a much clearer picture of the youngsters producing consistently strong darts.

Other Tuesday night performances worth mentioning

Away from the featured events, several players deserve recognition.

Johnny Haines won at Locomotive Engineers Social Club in Eastleigh, defeating Mark Barnard in the final. Haines recorded 111.33, 103.66 and 93.94 during his seven-win evening.

Charlie Miller won at Hethersett Social Club, recording 104.86 and completing eight victories before defeating Spencer Fage in the final.

Scott Hill won at Indian Queens Working Men's Club in Cornwall, defeating Jamie Kay 3–1. Hill produced 103.66 and 96.97, while Kay recorded 100.21.

Henry Cooper won at Portland Social Club, recording 100.20, 98.02, 96.97 and 90.18. That's a particularly impressive sequence of averages.

Keegan Brown won at Ambassador Freehouse on the Isle of Wight, producing 103.66 and 93.94.

Andrew Hibbert took the title at Brookside in Syston, recording 103.66 and 93.94 during his seven victories.

Robbie Martin won at the Newtown in Poole, producing a 103.66 average.

And at Wiltshire Darts House in Swindon, Rich Griffee defeated Scott Mc 3–1, although Mc produced an exceptional 115.62 during the competition.

There was certainly no shortage of quality around the country.

Tuesday's highest recorded averages

These are the leading individual match averages identified in Tuesday's results.

These are individual match averages, not tournament-wide averages. Some players appear more than once because they produced more than one outstanding performance.

My five standout performances

  1. Connor Hopkins – A remarkable 125.25 average, seven victories and the title in Cefn Hengoed.
  2. Ash McKeever – A 120.24 average in Faringdon, backed up by several performances above 90.
  3. Pete Hughes – Eight victories and the Bretforton title, including averages of 100.20 and 98.02.
  4. Johnny Haines – The Eastleigh title, with averages of 111.33, 103.66 and 93.94.
  5. Henry Cooper – Four leading averages above 90 and the Portland title.

Special mentions go to Liam Parish, Steve Boundy, Brooklyn Anthony, Scott Hill, Leanne Topper and Rhys Evans.

Another 96 tournaments added to Q4QS

Tuesday was one of those days when it was difficult to decide which performances to highlight.

Three individual averages reached or exceeded 120, several more players broke the 110 barrier, and there were plenty of tournament winners who produced strong darts throughout their evenings.

It was particularly good to see the variety of competitions involved, from ADC Vault events to junior academies, WADC tournaments and local round-robin competitions.

And that's really what I want these daily reports to show.

The occasional exceptional average will always attract attention, but it's the performances over several matches, several tournaments and eventually several months that tell us the most about a player.

With another 96 tournaments added to the Q4QS Database, we're continuing to build that bigger picture.
