South & South West Darts Results Round-Up – 3 June 2026

 Wednesday night produced another packed schedule of grassroots darts across the South and South West, with strong turnouts, several 100+ averages and titles claimed across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Dorset, Devon and Hampshire.

Tournament Highlights

Devizes Town Round Robin

Johnny Haines was the standout performer in Devizes, lifting the title after defeating Steve Perkins in the final. Haines topped both the averages and wins charts on the night, recording a superb 93.94 average and eight match victories.

Purton Under 70 Average

Dave Taylor enjoyed a fantastic evening in Purton, defeating Samuel King 4-2 in the final. Taylor finished with nine wins from the event, the highest win total recorded across the featured South & South West tournaments.

DartAsylum Under 55 Average

Another competitive field gathered at DartAsylum HQ, where Jack Kempster edged past Jenson White in the final. White produced the highest average of the event and, alongside Kempster, finished with seven victories on the night.

Vault 17 Stonehouse

Kieran Smith claimed the title at Stonehouse and produced one of the performances of the evening with a superb 104.86 average. Smith defeated Andy Hammond in the final and finished the night with six wins.

Vault 17 Stalbridge

Robbie Martin delivered one of the highest averages seen anywhere on Wednesday, recording 109.11 during his title-winning run. Martin won eight matches and defeated Max Adams in the final.

Vault 17 Bishopsworth

Matty Rogers secured victory at the Sartan Club after defeating Mervyn Adams in the final. Rogers finished the evening with eight victories and continued his strong recent form.

Vault 17 Ilfracombe

North Devon saw Daniel Donovan emerge victorious after a hard-fought evening. Donovan claimed the title ahead of Jack Walker, who recorded several of the tournament's best averages.

Henry Cooper (Christchurch) – 111.33 Average

The highest average recorded across all South & South West tournaments logged by Q4QS on Wednesday came from Henry Cooper, whose outstanding 111.33 average at Christchurch led the way for the day.

Time for a Reset

Tonight was one of those nights.

I didn't win a single leg.

The strange thing is that my average wasn't completely terrible, but the results certainly were. Walking away without a leg win is never enjoyable, and it has forced me to take a long, hard look at where my game currently stands.

The truth is that I know I'm capable of better. I've shown flashes of it. I've had good legs, good spells, and good tournaments. The problem isn't a lack of ability. The problem is that I'm not currently doing anything focused enough to solve the issues that keep appearing.

If I'm honest, this isn't just a darts problem.

It's something I do in life generally.

I overwhelm myself with ideas, projects, plans and possibilities. Instead of focusing on one thing and improving it, I end up trying to tackle everything at once. The result is that progress becomes slower than it should be.

So it's time for a rethink.

Not a dramatic one. Not because I'm angry or depressed about tonight. Quite the opposite. I'm actually feeling quite positive about it.

I think I need to strip everything right back to basics.

Physically, that means rebuilding my throw from the ground up. Looking at stance, alignment, grouping and consistency. No shortcuts. No miracle fixes. Just simple, deliberate practice.

Mentally, it means getting my head in the right place again. Finding focus. Removing noise. Concentrating on the things that actually matter instead of worrying about everything at once.

I've even started thinking about whether Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) might be useful. Not specifically for darts, but for helping me organise my thinking, improve focus and gain better perspective. The lessons could easily transfer onto the oche.

This isn't a blog post about giving up.

It's a blog post about starting again.

The good news is that I know I'm not alone. Every darts player seems to hit these periods where they know there's more in the tank but can't quite unlock it. Every player has moments where the game feels harder than it should.

So over the next few weeks I'm going back to basics. I'll document what I'm doing, what works, what doesn't work, and whether the changes make a difference.

And if I manage to find something that genuinely helps, I'll make sure I share it.

Because I suspect there are plenty of players out there standing exactly where I am right now.

PDC Players Championship 20 Preview

 The PDC ProTour returns with Players Championship 19, and once again the field is packed with major champions, recent title winners and some of the most in-form players in world darts.

At the top of the betting sits Wessel Nijman, who continues to justify his growing reputation as one of the sport's brightest stars. The Dutchman arrives ranked fourth in the Q4QS rankings and recently captured Players Championship 14 with a superb tournament average of 99.50.

However, the player carrying the strongest recent momentum may be Luke Woodhouse. Woodhouse has enjoyed a remarkable fortnight, winning both Players Championship 18 and the Baltic Sea Open. His recent 9W-1L record makes him one of the most dangerous players in the draw.

Kevin Doets continues to knock on the door of a major title. The Dutchman reached the final of the Austrian Darts Open before losing to Josh Rock and has compiled an impressive 8W-2L record over his last ten matches.

Former Masters champion Jonny Clayton and two-time world finalist Gary Anderson remain among the biggest threats. Both have shown they can still produce world-class darts, while Chris Dobey possesses the scoring power to beat anybody when at his best.

Further down the rankings, players such as Sebastian Bialecki, Andrew Gilding, James Wade and Nathan Aspinall offer plenty of intrigue. Bialecki in particular arrives with an 8W-2L form line and could be one of the dark horses of the tournament.

With floor tournaments often producing surprises, consistency over a long day could prove just as important as raw scoring power.

Back-to-back titles and a 9W-1L record make him one of the hottest players on the circuit.

Kevin Doets

Austrian Open finalist and one of the most consistent performers of recent weeks.

Former major champion who continues to produce deep runs on the ProTour.

Players Championship 16 winner and a player who thrives in floor events.

Ranked eighth in the Q4QS rankings and arriving with an 8W-2L record, the Polish star looks significantly stronger than his market price suggests. If he can navigate the early rounds, he could be one of the stories of the day. 

Modus Super Series Week 6 (1st–7th June) Preview

 The latest week of the Modus Super Series sees a fascinating mix of experienced PDC campaigners, former tour card holders, Challenge Tour performers and emerging international talent battling for a place in Finals Week.

While there are no household names at the very top of the field this week, several players arrive with strong recent form and genuine title-winning credentials.

⭐ Main Contenders

Tommy Lishman

The highest-ranked player in the field and a regular performer on the PDC Challenge Tour circuit. Lishman has already shown he can compete against Tour Card holders and recently defeated Mario Vandenbogaerde in Players Championship action.

Callum Goffin

One of the most dangerous players in the tournament. His quarter-final run at Players Championship 16 included victories over Ryan Searle, Mickey Mansell and Darius Labanauskas. If he reproduces that level, he could dominate this week.

David Evans

Perhaps the form player entering the event. Evans carries an excellent 8W-2L recent record and reached the final of Challenge Tour 13 with a superb 92.78 average.

Keegan Brown

A former UK Open quarter-finalist and one of the most experienced names in the field. Brown remains capable of producing averages in the mid-90s and will fancy his chances over the longer Modus format.

Jake Neale

One of the most interesting stories of the week. Neale arrives on a 9W-1L run and has already won a Modus South Wales Regional Qualifier. Confidence is clearly high.

Vault 17 @ Stratford Social Club, Salisbury (Monday 1st June 2026) Preview

 Monday night's Vault 17 at Stratford Social Club features one of the strongest fields seen at the venue for several weeks, with multiple recent champions, in-form players and several familiar names from the Salisbury and Shaftesbury circuits.

The headline act is Lee Evans, who arrives on a remarkable 10W-0L run and has won multiple recent events, including titles at Stratford Social Club and Challow British Legion. With a Q4QS rank of 431 and a season average over 85, he'll start as the player everyone wants to avoid.

Geoff James continues to produce outstanding consistency. The Yeovil Labour Club champion has multiple recent titles, carries an 8W-2L form line and has built a reputation for grinding out results in difficult matches.

Danny Humphries is another major contender. A recent Cyprus International Darts Open winner and Shaftesbury champion, he's won two of his last five tournaments and arrives with a superb 9W-1L recent record.

Former winners Gary Eastwood and Liam Glister both bring strong recent form, while youngsters Mason Beaven and Daryl Beaven continue to threaten deeper runs as their experience grows.

🎯 Standout Performances

Mark Cox dominated the Deers Leap Round Robin with an incredible 11 match wins and multiple 90+ averages.

Shaun Vernall reached the final in Cinderford and also posted several of the day's highest averages across the Vault circuit.

Joe Bagguley produced the joint-highest average of the day at 93.94 in Gloucester, while Lee Hughes matched that figure on his way to victory at Ogmore Vale. 

Vault 17 @ The Treddy, Gloucester (Sundays) Preview

 

The Sunday night Vault 17 at The Treddy looks set to be one of the stronger Gloucestershire events of the week, with several recent winners, finalists and in-form players among the entrants. The field contains a mix of proven title winners and players who have been threatening to make a breakthrough in recent weeks. Folow the tournament at Treddy Vault 17

At the head of the field is Rich Griffee, who arrives in outstanding form after winning at DD's Snooker & Pool Club and carrying a formidable 9W-1L record from his last 10 matches. His recent victories over Lee Andrews, Cori Wiltshire and Joe Sellick show he's capable of beating quality opposition.

Shaun Vernall is another obvious contender. The recent Widden Rugby Club champion has produced some of the strongest averages in this field and already has a Treddy title on his CV. His win over Iain Howie in a recent final underlines his credentials.

Joe Quiney has been knocking on the door consistently, reaching finals and semi-finals across the region. Having recently won at The Bengeworth and followed that up with another final appearance, he'll fancy his chances of going one step further.

Former Treddy winner Iain Howie is always dangerous in this format, while Joe Bagguley comes into the event after another tournament victory in Tewkesbury. Both have the experience and consistency to make deep runs.

Keep an eye on Cori Wiltshire, who continues to reach the latter stages of events, and Will Jackson, who has already made a Treddy final and knows exactly what it takes to go deep here.
