Yesterday's Darts Results: Kurt Parry Hits 107.36, Jayden Walker Shines and 43 Tournaments Added – 2 November 2026

Yesterday's Darts Results – 2 November 2026

Monday's grassroots darts produced another strong collection of results, with 43 tournaments added to the Q4QS Database.

Kurt Parry delivered the highest recorded match average of the day, Jayden Walker impressed in the Junior Volts competition at Salisbury, and Kieran Harris continued his good form with another tournament victory.

There were also strong performances from Stuart Dutton, James Smith and Kaya Baysal, while the WADC programme featured a blind doubles competition at the Red Rose Darts Hub.

Kurt Parry continues his excellent form

Kurt Parry has been producing some impressive numbers recently, and Monday brought another tournament victory at the Clive Arms Vault Break 2.

Parry defeated Allan Burnett 3–0 in the final, finishing with seven match victories.

What stood out was the consistency of his scoring across several matches. He recorded averages of 107.36 against Lloyd Johnson, 103.66 against Allan Burnett, 98.02 against Andy Williams and 91.13 against Edward Manley.

It's one thing to produce a single outstanding average, but putting together several strong performances in the same competition is arguably more encouraging.

Edward Manley finished with six victories, while Burnett and Grant Coombs recorded five apiece.

Parry's 107.36 was the highest individual match average across Monday's 43 recorded tournaments.

Jayden Walker impresses at Stratford Social Club

One of Monday's most encouraging performances came from the Junior Volts competition at Stratford Social Club in Salisbury.

Jayden Walker defeated Zachary Petty 3–0 in the final, finishing with six victories.

Walker also produced an excellent 92.02 average against Leo Fowler, comfortably the highest recorded average in the competition.

His other notable performances included averages of 79.11 against Lexi Petty, 77.74 against Thomas Scamell and 75.15 against Zachary Byford.

Petty also played well, recording a 76.42 average against Byford and finishing with five victories.

The encouraging thing about Walker's performance wasn't simply the 92 average. He backed it up with several other good matches and went on to win the tournament.

That's exactly the sort of consistency young players will want to develop.

Kieran Harris wins again at Wern Fawr

Kieran Harris followed up Sunday's success with another victory, this time in the Wern Fawr Money In Money Out competition.

Harris defeated Louis Melville 3–0 in the final and finished with nine victories, the joint-highest total among the tournaments' leading winners on Monday.

His best recorded average was 103.66 against Shane Jones, and he also averaged 90.18 in the final.

Melville had a good competition himself, producing averages of 91.09 against Skyla-May Melville, 88.41 against Jo Mew and 85.89 against Jesse Nicholas.

Daniel Castle also recorded seven victories, with Ellis Williams finishing on six.

Two tournament wins across consecutive days is an impressive return for Harris, particularly when accompanied by averages above 100.

Stuart Dutton dominates at Riverside

Stuart Dutton produced one of Monday's strongest all-round tournament performances at the Riverside Club.

He won the Vault In-Betweener competition, defeating Rob Brereton 3–0 in the final and finishing with eight victories.

Dutton's five leading recorded averages were all impressive: 100.20, 91.09, 88.41, 87.71 and 81.98.

The 100.20 came against Harry Carter, while his 91.09 was recorded against Owen Nockolds.

With 67 matches recorded in the competition, Dutton's combination of high scoring and eight victories was particularly noteworthy.

James Smith takes Southwick title

At Southwick Sports Club, James Smith won the second week of the Vault Break competition, defeating Matt Macintosh 3–0 in the final.

Smith recorded seven victories and a 100.20 average against Andy Grace.

Darren Clark also reached 100.20 against William Woolnough, while Macintosh produced 96.97 against Grace.

Donny Boerman recorded 91.09, with Stuart Garner reaching 88.41.

The tournament contained 67 recorded matches, and there were several good performances beyond the eventual winner.

Kaya Baysal wins Pendle Super Series Week 6

Kaya Baysal took the Week 6 title at the David Street Club, defeating Alfie Armitage 3–1.

Baysal finished with nine victories, equalling Kieran Harris's winning total from Wern Fawr.

His highest average was 93.56 against Oscar Heys, while he also recorded 91.09 against Wayne Harrison.

Armitage averaged 91.92 in the final despite losing and produced 91.09 against Dave Graham.

Leighton Jones also reached 91.09.

With 90 matches recorded, this was one of Monday's larger competitions.

More junior darts across the country

It wasn't only Jayden Walker producing good results in the Junior Volts programme.

At McNamara's Sports Bar and Academy, Charlie Thomason defeated Ben Lundstrom 3–2 in the final. Thomason recorded six victories, with averages of 88.41, 86.43, 81.24 and 77.08 among his best performances.

At the Manhattan Club in Harrogate, Ben Pilgrim defeated Sammy Surgenor 3–1, recording a best average of 81.24.

Zac Copperwheat won at MK Sports Bar & Lounge in Milton Keynes, defeating Harry Winfield 3–2, while Jack Waker recorded the competition's highest average of 79.11.

Harrison Meggitt won at Nellies Club in Hull, defeating Mason Cook 3–0. Jacob Smith recorded the highest average of 75.15.

Jamie Johnson took the title at the Empire Clubs in Lancing, defeating Ethan Yates 3–0, with Jack Byrne recording a 71.57 average.

At Bradley House Bar in Uttoxeter, Jay Cottier defeated Ollie Gallimore 3–1, recording a best average of 66.31.

Seven Junior Volts competitions were recorded altogether. It's another reminder of how much competitive darts is now available to younger players.

WADC: Blind Doubles at Red Rose Darts Hub

There was also WADC action on Monday, with the Blind Doubles competition taking place at Red Rose Darts Hub.

The pairing of Netty and Eileen defeated Rachel and Wendy M 3–1 in the final.

Netty and Eileen finished with five victories, recording the competition's highest average of 50.10 against Celia and Sammy.

Their other leading averages included 45.55 against Andrea and Wendy S and 40.19 in the final.

Rachel and Wendy M finished with four victories.

There were 13 matches recorded in this competition. Although the averages are naturally different from some of the higher-profile singles events, it's another example of the variety of competitive darts being played.

Other results worth mentioning

There were plenty of good performances elsewhere in the country.

At Daventry Town Football Club, Mark McGeeney defeated Stuart Scarsbrook 3–2, recording seven victories and a highest average of 94.13.

Tony Chapman won the Cambs & South Lincs Darts Series qualifier at Wisbech, defeating Dec Shaw 3–0 and averaging 90.18 in the final.

At Broadway Social Club, George Humphreys defeated Owen Alford 3–2, recording nine victories. Alford produced the highest average of 86.71.

At Bostin Darts 180 Bar, Liam Kelly defeated Matthew Lloyd 3–0, with both players recording seven victories. Matt Hall and Lloyd both reached 93.94.

Richard Rowlands defeated Spud Thomas 3–1 in a competition listed as Retry later in the export, recording eight victories and a highest average of 89.37. The event name will need correcting in the Q4QS Database.

At Nantyffyllon Non Political Club in Maesteg, Bryan Williams defeated Richard Shanklyn 3–0, while Joseph Flenley recorded the highest average of 88.41.

At Rileys Liverpool, Ian Frame defeated Thomas Halliday 3–1, although Shane Evans produced the competition's highest average of 100.20, followed by 96.97.

Ollie Smith won the Roose Break Vault, defeating Blake Ward 3–2. Kenny Hartley produced a 100.20 average, with Daniel Backhouse reaching 93.94.

Steve Kirkby also impressed at Wilfrids Club, defeating Harry Cooke 3–0 in the final with a 93.94 average and finishing with eight victories.

Monday's top 10 individual match averages

These are individual match averages rather than tournament averages. Players can appear more than once if they recorded multiple leading performances.

A final thought

What stands out from Monday's results is the number of players putting together several good matches rather than relying on one exceptional performance.

Kurt Parry, Stuart Dutton, Kieran Harris and Charlie Thomason all recorded multiple strong averages, while Jayden Walker showed what can be achieved in junior competition.

The Q4QS Database is about recognising those performances, whether they happen in a major regional event or a smaller local tournament.

There will always be competitions that aren't included, but the more results I can bring together, the better the picture of grassroots darts becomes.

You can explore the results, rankings and player statistics at Quest For Q School.

Yesterday's Darts Results: Taylor Greaves and Sam Morris Hit 115.62 as Kurt Parry Wins in Llanelli – 24 October 2026

Saturday produced another busy day of grassroots darts, with 60 tournaments added to the Q4QS Database. There were two extraordinary 115.62 averages, a major memorial tournament in North Wales, plenty of junior darts and seven WADC competitions.

What particularly caught my attention was the range of performances. We had some exceptional scoring at the top end, but also players winning tournaments through consistency, determination and the ability to produce their best darts when it mattered.

Taylor Greaves produces 115.62 in Doncaster

One of the day's outstanding performances came at the Wheatsheaf in Doncaster, where Taylor Greaves defeated Peter Roebuck 3–1 in the final.

Greaves finished with eight victories and recorded an incredible 115.62 average against Steve Coates. He also averaged 97.08 in the final and recorded 91.09 earlier in the competition.

Daz Green wasn't far behind in the scoring department, producing 107.36 against Marc Wilkinson and another 96.97 against Gav Grayson.

It's one thing to produce an exceptional average in a short match, but Greaves backed up his highest score with a tournament victory. That's what makes his performance particularly impressive.

Sam Morris matches 115.62 in Shrewsbury

Remarkably, Greaves wasn't the only player to average 115.62 on Saturday.

At the Inn On The Green in Shrewsbury, Sam Morris recorded exactly the same average against Jack Bratby.

The tournament itself went to Paul Rowley, who defeated Jake B-Smith 3–1 in the final, producing an excellent 102.26 average in the deciding match.

Rowley finished with eight victories, while B-Smith won seven and recorded 95.94 and two averages of 93.94.

For me, this was another interesting example of the difference between producing the highest average and winning the tournament. Morris provided the headline figure, but Rowley was the player who came away with the title.

Kurt Parry wins in Llanelli with three ton-plus averages

After his excellent performances in Cardiff on Friday, Kurt Parry was back among the headlines on Saturday.

At Terry Griffiths Matchroom in Llanelli, Parry defeated Corey Milward 3–2 in the final, finishing with eight victories.

His leading averages were particularly impressive:

  • 111.33 against Roger James
  • 107.36 against Dylan Holborn
  • 100.20 against Edward Manley

Three averages above 100 in the same tournament is an excellent achievement, particularly when combined with the title.

Bobby Short also impressed with 96.97, while Manley recorded 91.09.

Parry's performances across the two days certainly make him one of the players worth watching in the Q4QS Database.

Andy Courtney takes the Keith Woodfine Memorial title

One of Saturday's biggest competitions was the Keith Woodfine Memorial 2026, held at Prestatyn Town Football Club.

With 155 matches recorded, this was a substantial event, and Andy Courtney emerged as champion after defeating Kelson Hughes 5–1 in the final.

Courtney finished with ten victories, while Hughes collected nine.

There were also some excellent individual averages. Alex Williams, Luke Newport and Courtney all recorded 103.66, while Newport added 98.33 and Dai Davies produced 97.82.

I always think memorial tournaments deserve particular recognition. They bring players together for something beyond the competition itself, while still producing some excellent darts.

Congratulations to Courtney on winning the title.

Steve West wins Portsmouth Phoenix Saturday Series

At the Portsmouth Phoenix Saturday Series Event 3, Steve West defeated Taylor Harding 5–1 in the final.

West won eleven matches, the highest total in the competition.

Marvin Meal was particularly impressive on the averages, recording 96.97, 93.94 and 91.09.

Neil Munro also reached 91.09, while West himself recorded the same average during his run to the title.

With 148 matches recorded, this was another sizeable Saturday tournament.

WADC: Gemma Hayter defeats Fallon Sherrock as Laura Sloggett wins in Bodmin

There was plenty happening in the women's game on Saturday, with seven WADC competitions recorded, including the Winmau Championship South.

At Bradmoor Farm in Aylesbury, Gemma Hayter defeated Fallon Sherrock 5–3 to win Event 9 of the WADC Winmau Championship South.

Hayter produced an excellent sequence of averages, including 87.00 against Rebecca Rose, 83.72 against Louise Pearson and 79.05 in the final.

Sherrock also played well, recording 86.38 against Jo Locke.

It was an impressive tournament victory for Hayter, particularly against such a well-known opponent.

Closer to home, Laura Sloggett won at Bodmin Band & Social Club, defeating Sarah Williams 3–2 in the final. Sloggett collected four victories and recorded the event's highest average of 43.62.

Elsewhere, there were more WADC winners to recognise:

  • Janet Hardman defeated Emma Evans 3–1 at Great Float Social Club in Wallasey, recording a best average of 63.96.
  • Kelly Stevens won both Castle & Falcon competitions in Newark, defeating Stacey Grand-Scrutton 3–0 and Nikki Rainbow 3–2. Her highest recorded average was 73.92.
  • Michelle Bull defeated Fran Bent 3–2 at the Glebe in Stevenage.
  • Kaylee Hughes defeated Loz Jones 3–2 at the Royal Oak in Rhyl.

I think it's particularly encouraging to see the WADC providing opportunities at different levels. Saturday's results included established names competing at the Winmau Championship alongside players enjoying regular local tournaments.

All of those competitions deserve their place in the daily roundup.

Junior darts: Arjun Sharma, Rhodri Phillips and Charlie Lowin impress

Saturday was also an extremely busy day for junior darts, with eight Junior Volts competitions recorded alongside several academy and youth events.

At Bushey Conservative Club, Arjun Sharma defeated Prem Ahluwalia 3–0 in the final.

Sharma won eight matches and recorded averages of 91.09, 86.71 and 85.89. That's an excellent series of performances for a junior player.

At Glanyrafon Arms in Llandysul, Rhodri Phillips defeated Oliver Williams 3–1 in the final.

Phillips won seven matches and recorded three separate averages of 83.50, alongside 81.98.

At Bostin Darts 180 Bar in Blackheath, Charlie Lowin defeated Fraser Waterworth 3–2, collecting seven victories and recording an 83.50 average.

Other Junior Volts winners included Remy Stapleton at Clacton Sports Bar, Zach Langley at Gamlingay Social Club, Callum Kerrigan at Lincoln Darts Hub, Seth Vickers at the Tungsten Inn in Grimsby and Theo Galea at Vikings Social Club in Norwich.

There were also victories for Iestyn Price in the JDC Wales Academy Rising Stars, Llewelyn Summerhayes in the JDC Wales RS Plate and Bobby Haste at the Leeds Darts Association Youth Round Robin.

It's encouraging to see so many young players getting regular competitive opportunities. And with averages above 90 already appearing in junior tournaments, there's certainly plenty of talent coming through.

Logun Godbeer wins at the 49 Club

At the 49 Club in Weston-super-Mare, Logun Godbeer won the Under-65 Saturday Round Robin, defeating Daniel Short 4–1 in the final.

Godbeer collected seven victories and produced the three highest averages of the tournament: 87.39, 83.50 and 74.40.

Short finished with five victories, while Leo Kent and Phil Woodall each collected four.

It's another good example of a tournament format giving players the opportunity to compete against others within a similar average range.

Other Saturday winners worth mentioning

There was plenty more happening around the country.

At the Boulevard Club in Peterborough, Mark Lynn defeated Craig Sayer 3–1, finishing with eight victories and recording a best average of 92.02.

Curtis Hammond won at the Len Forge Centre in Southend, defeating Corey Minchin 3–0. Hammond recorded averages of 94.26, 93.94, 93.94 and 91.16.

At John Selden in Worthing, Connor Levett defeated Timothy Peirce 3–0, winning eight matches and producing three separate 93.94 averages.

Jake Eichen won at Woodbridge Hill Working Men's Club in Guildford, defeating Ryan Mitchell 3–0 and collecting nine victories.

At Bunker 19 in Southend, Michael Van Pinnington defeated Arun Grewal 3–0, recording 88.41, 86.71 and 85.08.

Tom McInnes won at Pot Black in Shanklin, defeating Jay Moore 3–0, while Spud Thomas took the title at the Goat in Penygroes.

Elsewhere, James Mulvaney defeated Deta Hedman 5–4 in the ADC Open Singles final, and Harrison Leigh won both the McNamara's Sports Bar Grand Slam and the Club Burtonwood Grand Slam.

Saturday's highest recorded averages

These are the leading individual match averages from the day's results.

These are individual match averages, not tournament-wide averages. Kurt Parry also recorded 107.36 in Llanelli, giving him two of the day's highest individual performances.

My five standout performances

  1. Taylor Greaves – A 115.62 average and eight victories on the way to the Doncaster title.
  2. Kurt Parry – Three averages above 100, including 111.33, and the tournament victory in Llanelli.
  3. Sam Morris – Matching the day's highest average with 115.62 in Shrewsbury.
  4. Andy Courtney – Ten victories to win the Keith Woodfine Memorial.
  5. Arjun Sharma – Eight junior victories, with averages of 91.09, 86.71 and 85.89.

Special mentions also go to Gemma Hayter for her WADC Championship victory over Fallon Sherrock, Rhodri Phillips for his consistent junior performances and Kelly Stevens for winning two WADC competitions in Newark.

Another 60 tournaments added to Q4QS

Saturday was another reminder of just how varied grassroots darts has become.

At one end we had two players recording averages above 115. At the other, we had junior tournaments, average-restricted competitions, charity events and local WADC competitions giving players the opportunity to compete and enjoy the game.

And that's what I particularly like about covering grassroots darts.

Not everybody is chasing a 100 average. Some players are trying to win their first tournament, others are looking to improve their consistency, and some simply want a good day out with their darts.

All of those performances are part of the wider picture.

Yesterday's Darts Results: Joshua Russell Hits 115.62, Steve Haggerty Shines in Derby and Henry Cooper Wins in Taunton – 23 October 2026

Friday brought another 68 tournaments into the Q4QS Database, with some outstanding performances across the country.

Joshua Russell recorded the highest match average of the day, a superb 115.62 in Cardiff, while Steve Haggerty produced 109.98 in the final at Derby's Iron Ram.

There were also three players recording 107.36 at the Royal Oak in Rhyl, including eventual winner Luke Newport.

Closer to home, Henry Cooper put together an excellent evening in Taunton, Pete Hughes won in Evesham, and CJ Ayres took another Street Darts Organisation title.

There was also a WADC competition at Bradmoor Farm, while the Junior Volts programme continued with tournaments in Aylesford, Ryde and Leeds.

Henry Cooper impresses in Taunton

One of Friday's standout performances came at Pegasus 68 Club in Taunton, where Henry Cooper defeated Dave Fisher 3–0 in the final.

Cooper finished with seven victories and produced an impressive collection of averages: 93.94, 93.94, 91.09 and 88.41.

That's the sort of consistency I particularly like to see. A single high average is always worth mentioning, but producing several strong performances throughout a tournament tells us rather more.

Nick Eggbeer actually recorded the highest individual average at the venue, hitting 100.20 against Aaron Glynn.

Dave Fisher collected six victories on his way to the final, but Cooper was the player who came away with the title.

Pete Hughes wins at the Bengeworth in Evesham

At the Bengeworth Club, Pete Hughes enjoyed another successful Friday evening, defeating Richard Bambridge 3–0 in the final.

Hughes finished with eight victories, the most at the venue, and recorded averages of 88.41 and 88.12 among his best performances.

There were some impressive displays elsewhere in the competition.

Mitchell Leeming recorded the highest average of the evening at 91.09, while Jason Reeve produced 89.70.

Reeve and Bambridge each collected six victories, with Reece Pinches and Leeming finishing on five.

It was another competitive night in Evesham, with Hughes ultimately proving the most successful player.

Joshua Russell records 115.62 in Cardiff

The highest average in Friday's results came at Splott Albion Pavilion in Cardiff.

Joshua Russell produced an outstanding 115.62 against Kurt Parry, who himself was playing some excellent darts.

Parry recorded averages of 111.33, 107.36 and 105.23 during the evening, giving him three of the strongest individual performances across the entire day's results.

Yet neither player finished as tournament champion.

That honour went to Mark Hyde, who defeated Russell 3–2 in the final.

Hyde and Russell both finished with seven victories, while Parry collected six.

I think this is one of the more interesting results of the evening. Russell produced the highest average, Parry put together a remarkable series of performances, but Hyde was the player who won the tournament.

It's a good reminder that the highest average doesn't always translate into the title.

Steve Haggerty produces a superb final in Derby

At the Iron Ram in Derby, Steve Haggerty defeated Ash Weaver 3–0 in the final.

And Haggerty certainly saved some of his best darts for the deciding match.

He recorded a 109.98 average in the final, having also produced 104.86 earlier in the competition.

Weaver was no passenger, either. His leading averages included 100.20, 96.97 and 96.23, the latter coming in the final.

Both finalists finished with seven victories.

It's another example of a final where the standard of darts was particularly impressive. To average almost 110 while winning the title is an excellent achievement.

Luke Newport wins a high-quality evening in Rhyl

There was a remarkable collection of averages at the Royal Oak in Rhyl.

Three players recorded exactly 107.36 during the competition:

Newport went on to win the tournament, defeating Baz Tym 3–1 in the final and finishing with eight victories.

Tym collected seven victories and recorded averages of 96.97 and 91.09.

Kelson Hughes also finished with six wins.

With three different players recording averages above 107, this was certainly one of Friday's strongest individual scoring displays.

Callum Page takes the Clacton title

At Clacton Sports Bar, Callum Page defeated Kevin Edwards 3–1 in the final.

Page won seven matches and produced an excellent 100.20 average against Keith Farthing, alongside 90.55 in the final.

Edwards actually recorded the highest average of the competition, 107.36 against Aaron Reilly.

Simon Cuthbert also contributed a 91.09.

Again, we had a tournament where the highest individual average belonged to someone other than the eventual winner.

Page's seven victories were enough to secure the title.

Mark Lynn wins in Peterborough

At the Boulevard Club in Peterborough, Mark Lynn defeated Aaron Reed 3–1 in the final.

Lynn produced the highest average of the competition, 103.66 against Charles Crowson, and finished with seven victories.

Reed also won seven matches, while Colin Hopkins, Brett Claydon and Sid Stovold each collected five.

Claydon recorded 96.97 and 88.41 during the competition.

It was a strong evening for Lynn, combining the highest recorded average with the tournament victory.

CJ Ayres wins again at Street Darts Organisation

The SDO Open Series reached Week 6 on Friday, with CJ Ayres defeating Jack Western 3–1 in the final.

Ayres finished with eight victories and recorded averages of 93.94 and 91.09.

Western also produced 93.94 during the competition, while Warren Ryan recorded 91.09.

Ben Collins and Wayne Bradshaw each collected six victories.

There was also an SDO Under-50 round-robin event, where Tommy Chinnock defeated David Mitchell 3–0 in the final.

Chinnock finished with eight victories, while Theo Weston produced the event's highest average of 65.35.

It's good to see these different competition formats continuing to provide regular opportunities for players.

WADC: Sandra Page wins at Bradmoor Farm

There was one WADC Vault 3.0 competition recorded in Friday's results, at Bradmoor Farm in Haddenham.

Sandra Page defeated Cerys Skyrme-Davies 3–2 in the final, completing an impressive seven-win evening.

Page's leading averages included 61.77 and 60.12.

Skyrme-Davies produced the highest average of the competition, 62.63 against Tracey Reeve, and finished with four victories.

Reeve collected three victories.

It's important to keep recognising these competitions alongside the open events. Regular tournament opportunities are a significant part of developing the women's grassroots game, and Page's seven victories deserve recognition.

Junior darts: Freddy Turner, Reggie Woodmore and Ben Pilgrim win

There were three Junior Volts competitions in Friday's results, alongside other junior and academy events.

At Aylesford Village Club, Freddy Turner defeated Layton Hooper 3–1 in the final.

Both players collected six victories, while Jack Ingram produced the highest average of the competition at 93.94.

Harry Legg also recorded 81.50, and Drake Porter produced 81.24 and 79.11.

At Simeon Arms in Ryde, Reggie Woodmore defeated Quinn Adams 3–0 in the final.

Woodmore finished with five victories and recorded averages of 77.74, 71.57 and 69.91.

At Woodhouse Cricket Club in Leeds, Ben Pilgrim defeated Noah Mackie 3–2 in the final.

Pilgrim won eight matches and recorded the event's highest average of 91.09. Stanley Murray also impressed with two separate averages of 81.24.

Elsewhere, Jack Williams won the Champions of Champions Season 4 event at Cogan Coronation JDC Academy, while Charlie Greenslade took the Rising Stars Season 4 title.

Charlie Lowin also won the Soccer Zone Under-16 Junior League competition.

There were some very respectable performances among Friday's younger players, particularly from Jack Ingram and Ben Pilgrim.

Other Friday night winners worth mentioning

There was plenty more happening across the country.

Kaya Baysal won at Flight Night in Burnley, defeating Eric Bromley 3–1 in the final. Baysal recorded 100.20 and 96.97 during the evening.

Timothy Jones produced an excellent performance at Briton Ferry Workingmen's Club, defeating Bobby Short 3–0 in the final. Jones won eight matches and recorded averages of 100.20 and 90.18.

Jack Beasley won at the Brookside in Syston, recording 100.20 in the final against Mark Hurst and 96.97 earlier in the competition.

George Cressey won at Walderslade Club in Chatham, defeating Arron Brigden 3–2. His leading averages included 96.97, 93.94, 93.94 and 92.02.

Sean Holley won at Bradmoor Farm in Aylesbury, defeating Allan Way 3–2 and finishing with eight victories.

At the Worthies Sports and Social Club in Winchester, Barry Woodman defeated Charlie Jack 3–0 in the final.

And in Southampton, Jarred Cole defeated Keegan Brown 3–1 at Sarisbury Green Social Club. Both players finished with seven victories, while Cole produced the event's highest average of 98.02.

Across Wales, Cody Hughes won at Bigyn Darts Masters, Bryan Bennis took the Newport Darts Community title, Craig Whittaker won in Aberystwyth, and Dan Baker was successful in Carmarthen.

It's another reminder of just how much competitive darts is taking place on an ordinary Friday evening.

These are individual match averages rather than tournament-wide averages. Players may appear more than once among the highest individual performances.

My five standout performances

  1. Joshua Russell – A remarkable 115.62 average in Cardiff and seven victories on his way to the final.
  2. Steve Haggerty – A 109.98 average in the Derby final, backed up by 104.86 earlier in the evening.
  3. Henry Cooper – Seven victories in Taunton, with four leading averages between 88.41 and 93.94.
  4. Kurt Parry – Three averages above 105 in Cardiff, including 111.33 and 107.36.
  5. Luke Newport – Eight victories and a 107.36 average at the Royal Oak in Rhyl.

Special mentions go to Pete Hughes, Callum Page, Mark Lynn, Timothy Jones and WADC winner Sandra Page.

Another 68 tournaments added to Q4QS

Friday's results offered another excellent snapshot of grassroots darts.

We had high-quality performances in Cardiff, Derby and Rhyl, strong tournament victories across the South and South West, and plenty of encouraging performances in the junior game.

What particularly interested me was the contrast between the players producing the biggest averages and those actually winning tournaments.

Joshua Russell recorded 115.62 but finished runner-up. Kurt Parry produced three averages above 105 without winning the event. Meanwhile, Henry Cooper put together a series of consistent performances and came away with the Taunton title.

That's exactly why I think it's worth looking beyond one headline average when assessing a player's form.
